Without offensive Kamui, Kakashi is the non-factor here. There is nothing he can do to protect himself from Gaaras AoE sand. Going underground results in Gaara turning it all into sand, and crushing him.
Agreed. Not sure were this notion of Gaara is useless came from, not when he has airborne capabilities against 2 predominantly grounded opponents. Gaara being able to change the landscape gives him leeway to perform constant omnidirectional and underground attacks [

having been a first hand witness. Take into account the knowledge and the starting distance, Gaara can more than ready himself for an oncoming blitz, as can Itachi. Gai is without a doubt the more dangerous opponent, but it can ultimately be prevented due to a harmonisation between both Gaara and Itachi's defences. Hirudora busted V3 Susano'o, so Itachi can let Gaara into his V4 Susano'o augmented by Yata + an extra sand dome as precaution to limit damages. Kakashi can warp holes into Gaara's sand sure, but it's still not enough to bust V4 Susano'o and Kamui isn't something he's gonna want to spam needlessly. As Gaara controls the landscape he'd be able to spam sand walls blocking LoS [

] albeit on a much higher scale than this, while using an airborne 3rd eye in order to get an absolute view on everything on the battlefield, preventing sneak attacks (he has the option to go airborne anyways, so reaching him is in issue in itself). There's a lot more to this match up than instant blitzing.
