We all know The Last was made to push NH and the focal point of Gaiden was SS and their family

But did Gaiden hurt or help SasuSaku? By this I mean, did it further the pairing or make it even less credible?

Kishi did a fine job sheeting on it in gaiden.

>sakura can't pay off her home
>has no marriage photos
>child doesn't know (even after gaiden rofl) if her moms is her biological mom
>sasuke never home, and didn't visit daughter or that daughter can remember
>sakura chasing after sasuke while pregnant and has child in some random hide out without sasuke

Seems gaiden did more damage then anything :lmao:

I am just gonna leave this here.

The amount of damage it did in the beginning and middle was enough, the problems in the relationship was never fixed, only Sarada's understanding of what was going on and who she was.

>Hasn't contacted his wife or child in over 12 years
>Immediately contacts Naruto even before his own wife
-Why couldn't he have sent a bird or hawk to Sakura to see how she is doing?

>When he first sees his kid he tells her to mind her own business
>Sarada not seeing her father raises tension in her own house and she even questions her mother

>When they defeat Shin, Sasuke doesn't even stay in the village and leaves again.(Probably for another 12 years)
>Sakura leans in for a kiss and Sasuke doesn't even give it to her.

This ship is awkward, disrupted, and unbalanced.

It's like they don't even feel comfortable talking to each other or being around each other. Sarada seems to have a better time with Chocho and Naruto than her own family.

The Gaiden was all about Sarada and how she found her will of fire...so I don't think it hurt SS, just made us understand their relationship. Even if they are dimensions away the feelings between those three would remain intact...unlike some LOL

It hurt it. Sasuke hasn't been around for more then a decade and that caused all the issues in the gaiden. Bad relationship is bad.

Gaiden was just to toy with SasuKarin's emotions, and to show Sakura biltz.

First SasuKarin was like----HA she the mother.
Then they was like----Sasuke dont luh Sakura bih
Then they was like----Shit Sakura is the mother....
Then---MIA
Now----I didn't want Karin to be the mother, I glad she stayed out of that mess

And Im just like

Chileeeeee

What if Kishi was never aiming to fix the realationship? What if he was aiming to end the confusion that Sarada is Karin's daughter?

Still one has to wonder why he teased people by giving Sarada Karin's glasses? I mean was it really nessacary? I am still not convinced on how Karin is giving her glasses for free. That whole Sakura x Karin realationship looks very unatural.

Definitely hurt. Or, to be more precise, didn't develop them at all. The first chapters hurt them, the last chapters kind of helped them. Though it was not stated anywhere in the manga, SS' reactions to each other seems to indicate that the two of them kept in touch while they left Sarada out for her own safety. I mean, their meeting would have been so much more dramatic if they never met for 12 years, I think they at least sent each other messages in their own way (Sasuke's hawk for example). Yeah this contradicts with the fact that Sasuke didn't recognize Sarada, because if they kept in touch then Sakura would definitely send photos to Sasuke, and Sasuke would also be interested in her daughter. Still, I think that they kept in touch. Their relationship isn't really about expressing feelings, more like a mutual understanding that they love each other. Sasuke's character wouldn't even let him express romantic feelings.

Not necessarily hurt it but more Gaiden exposed the problems of it in the first place
