[Discussion] Why is BB overrated on this forum?

I agree with that but maybe only Tenryubito or D's can awaken a DF. It's a cop out but not a plot hole.

Yeah he could pull something like that. Would be in horrible taste though. Would make more sense if it were linked to King's haki users but WB was one of those too. One of the things Oda didn't really plan for too far ahead IMO. He did show awakened zoans back in Impel Down though sorta killing the D argument. Maybe its restricted to certain DF's only (not the best scenario since both Doffy's and WB's fruit are paramecia).

BB isnt overrated he is underrated...Characters like: Vergo, Smoker and Sanji are overrated on this forum.

He would never do that as that would discredit Zoro's standing. You should know by now Zoro is linked to Mihawk, you can never say anything bad about Mihawk infact you have to constantly boost him in turn boosting Zoro as well. Saying Mihawk is overrated is like saying Zoro's end goal is overrated, nothing's harder to take than that for them.

Not would, could meaning the fight can go either with Teach having chances to win. It's based on power scaling that i say this

3. Classified by strength, 1st div commander Marco=Admiral level. 3rd div Commander is Jozu=Mid-High Schichi level. Making 2nd in command about High Shichi level.
4. BB toyed with Ace. That puts him far above that level.
5. Survived Gura Gura punch from WB and tanked Sengoku's Buddha attacks, and Ace's fire spears. Clearly, his durability puts him at an extremely high level by itself.
6. He defeated Thatch, the 4th division commander without a DF.
7. Island level Black hole. Presumably far more destructive power with his Gura Gura.

So clearly Yami Teach is on some next level shit, overrated is a laughable term when discussing BB. Please let's not even discuss how powerful Post-TS BB is with his Gura Gura.

I agree with everything except the third and 4th point. According to Oda, the division number has nothing to do with strength and frankly, Jozu had much better showings, hype and portrayal than Ace. His portrayal was even comparable to Marco's(first division commander)

Did he really say that? Damn. Jozu got toyed with by Doflamingo, Marco was portrayed to be the equal of pretty much every admiral. He clashed equally with them and only got stopped by Garp who's superior to Admirals. Jozu was also clashing equally with some of the admirals but that Doflamingo feat takes away from his portrayal. I'd think Ace should be around the same level tbh, so he'd still be clashing equally with Admirals, or coming close to that level. But BB toyed with him, so that puts him at a far higher level if anything.

I interpreted it as mid-diff while he wasn't trying with full power. And that's someone who should be close to the level of people like Jozu, Vista, etc. And again, that is also without Gura Gura or Haki.

In this context it means being the 2nd division commander does not give you more power over a 3rd division commander. It does not directly speak of their individial power, but their status. And logically speaking, Marco (1)>Jozu (3)>Vista (5)>Blamenco (6)>>>someone like Atmos. Portrayal was pretty clear on that. So I'd assume Ace is Jozu level+.
