Gaiden ch 1 mistranslated (Sasu/Sara 12yrs apart)

so based on recent SS controversy, sarada says in the english translations that she hasn't seen sasuke ever since she was a baby. so which means 12 yrs of sasuke's absence from the family, like what everybody's been arguing about.
but there's something slightly wrong with the translation here.

at the top panel, it says ものごころついた時から会ったことがない.
the bold, ものごころ (monogokoro) is a japanese expression or phrase that represents a person's time when their personalities are already slightly developed or are grown enough to have slight memories. in other words, (monogokoro) takes place slightly maybe during the age 5. (after birth for sure).

what I'm trying to say is, i don't see why *********** is translated "i haven't seen him since i was a baby", when it clearly says in japanese, (monogokoro).

but there are people arguing about the fact that Sarada never "met" Sasuke. the way the raw says, it makes it sound like she has slight memories of sasuke

We can't jump to conclusions yet. Whatever the future chapters are about, Maybe he knows about sarada and maybe he doesn't. It's just that the way this panel was written, it threw me off

It's a collection. They're in separate sections of the frame. You've never seen two pictures of people next to each other that aren't the same photograph?

Dude's been gone for more than a decade. You keep and use all the pictures you have. It's not like they have extras lying around.

Those 2/3 photographs are probably the only ones of Sasuke that exist. Photos aren't so common in this timeline. At least not as common as in the real world.
