Nagato would use Preta Path to absorb the fire before Sasuke can set up Kirin. Even then Itachi was able to react to it and activate Susanoo so I can't see why Nagato couldn't use Deva Path to negate Kirin.

In CQC he destroys Sasuke due to a combination of Deva, Preta and Asura.

In long range combat he has his summons and if Sasuke keeps using Amaterasu on them he'll just run out of chakra.

Anything Sasuke has Nagato can counter. Kirin is the only thing that -could- kill him ( it's debatable if Nagato can use shinra tensei to throw it off ) and Nagato can simply absorb the fire before Sasuke can set it up.

That's his own technique. Kirin's clouds are not Nagato's.
