I should go premium right now and take it from you U_UIt's only temporary, I'll go back to SDO later. Lol
Your opinions are not something you hide behind. They are an extension and representation of who you are and your character. If your opinion is that of a terrible outlook, then you are a terrible person. I think that is a terrible opinion, so I think the people who have it are terrible people. Nazis, the KKK, slavery, all started with opinions, they just eventually turned into actions.Yes look at this guy get insulted for giving his honest opinion..
I don't have to vote, beauty of freedom.
I'm not denying their right, they can do whatever they want to do for all I care. I'm just not for it.
I'm not going to vote for something that I don't like and doesn't benefit me and I won't vote against it because I have nothing against them. How I feel on the subject matters to me to more than anything else because I put myself before everything and anything else.
And the whole making the world a better place is completely subjective.
I'm not going to vote for something that I don't like and doesn't benefit me
Which is why I called people with your outlook selfish. How I feel on the subject matters to me to more than anything else because I put myself before everything and anything else.
Im not going to vote, whether you think I'm terrible, selfish or not doesn't bother me, you are no one to me.Your opinions are not something you hide behind. I didn't say that someone should make you vote, or that you had to. You have the choice to vote one way, the other way, or not at all. However, I think you SHOULD vote. Not voting on the issue is practically the same thing as voting against them because either way, your contribution doesn't go towards them. Not voting at all means you aren't voting for their right to be married, which is denying their right.
Which is why I called people with your outlook selfish.
You and Wet Dreamz should reread my post better. I never said it'd make the world as a whole a better place, though it would be a step-forward for the world. I said it'd make the world a better place for a group of people; as in, their experience in the world with this change would be better than their experience in it before the change. You are denying people their rights because it doesn't impact you in any way? The fact that it impacts them positively and doesn't impact you or society as a whole negatively is more than enough reason to support it.
Woah woah woah you need to chill playa.Such toxic mentalities.
Nah, the Bible portrays God as uber homophobic.
I was playing devil's advocate, that's not how I feel about it.Your opinions are not something you hide behind. They are an extension and representation of who you are and your character. If there is a problem and you choose neither the side that continue the problem or the side that solves the problem, then you are just as bad as those who choose to continue it.Woah woah woah you need to chill playa.
How did you come up with such conclusion in which their mentality is"toxic"? Is because they decide to stay quite about a something they're not sure about ? How are you so sure that yours isn't the one that's messed up ? Everybody is technically part of the problem not only the people that are staying quite.
Devil's Advocate means you are going to respond to my argument from a viewpoint that is not necessarily your own. To do so, you're gonna have to still respond to what I actually say, which wasn't what you addressed.I was playing devil's advocate, that's not how I feel about it.
I barely remember what we were talking about if I'm honest, let me look back.If there is a problem and you choose neither the side that continue the problem or the side that solves the problem, then you are just as bad as those who choose to continue it.
I think this mentality is toxic because this an issue with a scope that goes beyond just the individual who addresses it, so to think of it only in terms of yourself is toxic. What if every man ignored the fight for women to vote or work or have the same rights as a man because it affected women, and not themselves? What if every white person ignored the fight against slavery because it was towards black people and not themselves? There are times when you think of terms of yourself, and times when you think in terms of more than just yourself. Doing the former when it's time for the latter is not the way to go.
What is there to be not sure about?

Yeah, those are terrible people.
Please do not refer to gay people as "******", though youbdont g for or against it, yur comment is directed to gay people offensivly, and is very rude -.-! Whether or not you are for against or do not care about gay people being able to marry (though it is the whole purpose of this whole thread)! Please do not insult me or anyone else just because you dont personally care whether we marry or not, it steers your whole nonchalunt agreement to the whole other side. Thank youCouldn't careless what a ****** wants . What he eats won't make me Shit
Dear, God... He's not telling you to vote, he's telling you that you should consider it and giving valid reasons as to why. If you choose not to, you're basically aiding a dogma of matrimony between people who love each other, and so happen to be of the similar ***. Female of Male.Im not going to vote, whether you think I'm terrible, selfish or not doesn't bother me, you are no one to me.
And whether gays get their marriage rights or not, doesnt concern me at all.
And if putting myself before others makes me selfish so be it.
Alot of people didn't necessarily support slave stopping or women rights and yet in the end it happened thanks to those who fought for It.My point is that sometimes we have to let it happen naturally and I mean it's painfully obvious that it will be formal someday so why the rush? And to be honest when it comes to homosexuality it's pretty hard for 60% of the people to give a straight answer beacuse In way you think that it's pretty unnatural but you still feel sorry for those who fell in love but still can't marry. for me and you it's easy to express our opinioopinions but not everbody Will feel comfortable with their opinions and actions being judged by other people. homosexuality existed for a long time now and alot of gays are actually married (probably not formally) but yeah most of them are pretty satisfied like this and unlike those examples you listed homosexual community isn't united together, hell I even doubt that they can understand each other's mentality or thoughts so yeah that's biggest issue.however I do think that you're correct about how should people express their thoughts on important mattersIf there is a problem and you choose neither the side that continue the problem or the side that solves the problem, then you are just as bad as those who choose to continue it.

That is the christian definition of marriage, not the official definition. You realize the act of marriage is older than Christianity right? It's not even marriage if it's between two men marriage by defenition is a bond between a man and a woman.
According to the bible wether you believe it or not Adam and eve being the first humans ever where married therefore the oldest couple in history. That is the christian definition of marriage, not the official definition. You realize the act of marriage is older than Christianity right?
OT: I'm not against it. IF two men or two women want to ruin their life like the rest us through marraige they are more than welcomed to it. Gay and lesbian love is no different than heterosexual love. It is all very human. People against that need to do some real introspection if they can understand that.
Sorry, I don't mean to be rude but this is a rather ignorant post. There are secular countries as well that define marriage as a bond between a man and a woman. Also, christianity is not the only religion that defines marriage as such a bond. And as the other guy said, there is no universal definition. Some societies support polygamy for example. That is the christian definition of marriage, not the official definition. You realize the act of marriage is older than Christianity right?

I agree somewhat lol. Look at the Romans for example. They were around long before Christianity took root (the adam and Eve mythology hadn't been put forth yet) and they were marrying. And that is kind of my point. This argument of "marriage is a union between a man and a woman" is based on a faith that not everyone adheres to. Christianity is not the only (nor the oldest) religion in the world.According to the bible wether you believe it or not Adam and eve being the first humans ever where married therefore the oldest couple in history.
Now if you don't belive in any of that then marriage has no official definition. But marriage is really nothing but a bunch of legal papers. I think it's more of a drag than A benefit. If you are married to a woman better not piss her of or you will lose all your shit in a devorce.
XD people don't choose to be gay. and as to your last point. Japan is actually going through this right now. And it's not because of homosexuality, it's because men and women are not interested in marrying there. There are more elderly than there are newborns in Japan right now. They have a right to their preferred sexuality just like anyone else but I just hope there won't be repercussions in the future like for example gay people ruling the world nd shit or future generations choose to be gay and before u know it humans start to become extinct because nobody wants ***** any more. Gay people can't reproduce on their own obviously.
I see your point, let me rephrase what I typed. As far a the issue here in America is concerned where the Christian definition of marriage is prevalent. I didn't mean this as a world truth but an American Truth.Sorry, I don't mean to be rude but this is a rather ignorant post. There are secular countries as well that define marriage as a bond between a man and a woman. Also, christianity is not the only religion that defines marriage as such a bond. And as the other guy said, there is no universal definition. Some societies support polygamy for example.
I just wanted to clear that.
