Gin and Kin were cloud shinobi who defeated the 2nd Hokage, the 2nd Hokage was killed by cloud shinobi. Just put two and two together. Really, its not that hard.

You don't know if they weren't involved either, its quite plausible to believe they, or at least Kinkaku, were involved since the group was named the Kinkaku Force. In truth neither of us know for fact, but I personally believe someone of Tobriama's caliber would not be defeated by regular Jonin.
