More like you completely failed to understand how the character is written. She definitely could be written better but she is not that bad as you claim repeatedly. Plus she is the most developed female in the manga.
Sakura's goal was to be nin. She is. Then her next goal was to be a medic and she became an excellent one. She was able to create antidote for Sasori's poison after extracting and analyzing it (none in the Sand village could do it) and then heal people on the field using her seal and summon. That shows how skilled she became at it.
One of her other goals is to be able to keep up with two of the most overpowered people in the verse who managed to defeat the ultimate villain. What's wrong with that goal?
Both her team mates had a head start since the day they were born-- One had sharingan and another Uzumaki chakra+ kyuubi to fall back on. They only need to learn to harness those powers. Sakura on the other hand has to rely on her normal self.
Kakashi trained Sasuke personally and told her to sit on the side line for his sake in middle of the chunin exams. He found a teacher for Naruto- because he knew he won't shut up that easily but not Sakura why? That's exploiting her sympathy for Sasuke's situation against her personal interest.
By the end despite her being an ordinary girl from an ordinary back ground without any inheritance or gifted powers she was one of the top shinobies on the field. Only Kabuto and Tsunade can challenge her and both are her senior. One an experienced Sannin and the other had stolen add ons. And none of the others could have helped Obito in rescuing Sasuke from that desert.
Not a bad performance for a book smart girl on the field. She could be written in a better way but she is not one dimensional nor her goal was bad seeing the level of competition in team 7. She was the only person in the team without a personal baggage but I don't see why I should hold it against her. Having a troublesome dark past is too main stream anyway.
And she definitely seems too believable and realistically turned out to generate this much of passion and interest in her that some of you guys cannot seem to have enough of her.
