[Mystery] Little boy in the mirror

Inspired by Edgar Allan Poe's poem, "The Raven".



Little boy in the mirror
always looks at me and laughs
for he knows my perverseness and how I hide my lusts.

Little boy in the mirror
who are you to judge
a man’s life without a meaning
a man’s life without a task?

But the boy never answers,
he just looks me in the eyes
with an insight so haunted,
makes me want to crush my lies .


His name unrevealed,
I won’t ask, for I know
all my masks before him shatter -with a mere glance!-
All before my innermost horror.

Little boy in the mirror
Are you from the neighborhood, someone lost and found?
Were you hidden from all, from all but not from me
cause you knew that in the end… only I can see?


Meaningless questions to fill a restless silence
meaningless blabbering to keep myself sane.
But alas! When air runs out
and my eyes shut,
I finally conceive the inconceivable.

Your eyes full of joy turn into a disapproving look,
your laughter into a sad requiem
and you… you escape in your own crystal world,
while I awake from a vivid nightmare


that I dreamed?
