[Question] Why did the staff implement the "like" feature ?

...when it was not a wanted feature a few years back? I'm honestly curious to find out the answer to this 'cause I haven't been here for awhile and now I logged in after a year and there's a like button lol.

And no we aren't going to make such a button for every post as we have the green flag and I have seen what happens on other forums who have that option. They made a sport out of it to click on that button every time someone trolls the forum, so no we are not going to make such a button for every post.

For that we have the red flag which is to the right of the green flag. That way you can give people negative reps.

This should serve as a reminder that from now on everything that I suggest you will implement.

Stop flattering yourself. Versuvio implemented it because he wanted to give the forum a more social internet platform like vibe and it was done purposefully after Naruto ended along with several other updates. V probably doesn't even know you exist, let alone a thread you made 3 years ago because of lack of knowledge you had about the reputation system.

What I said back then still very well applies as we already had enough means of thanking, but I'm not the one who has the final words on matters like these. For all I care the entire reputation system can be removed and changed with the like/dislike features, but it remains so that what I said was and is true: it was redundant at the time to add it, hence it wasn't added. However these days V is trying to give NB a new profile and the like/dislike feature fits that profile.

So the context you made your thread it in is not the same as the current one. If it would be still the same, it would be shot down likewise.
