Why aren't NH fans

Just think about it this way. Lack of Sasuke is actually a good thing in this movie since he will get to play his role to perfection. Kakashi does play a role, but more on the upper side. He will never get to fight in this movie but he will be the first to notice many things. Also his self belief will show. His role is taken by Shikamaru in this movie and Sasuke's team seven role is taken by Sai. Should be interesting to see how well these characters developed.

No character was developed, the movie was solely about Naruto and Hinata, thats the problem

Well, SP shouldn't have given false advertisement of Kakashi and Sasuke, they are presented as the main cast, but they appear for 5 minutes in a 110 minutes movie. They increased my hopes, specially for Sasuke. At least his short apparition will be badass, since he will destroy a meteor with a single blow and then leave to the shadows again like the Batman. It seems that Sakura and Shikamaru will have a nice role in this movie, can't wait to see them.

I'll wait to judge it, people are saying that it's a bad movie and all, but let's see.

People who say this was a wholly exclusive NH movie havent digged into the marketing of the Last in Japan apparently.Sasuke's mannequin was there in every major department store AND they even put posters on streets and sold Sasuke keychains something they didnt do for Sakura

All that was a marketing stunt to get money. Because of the popularity of the characters. The trailers how ever were not misleading. They made it clear that this was a NaruHina movie. None of that marketing has anything to do with whose more valuable in this movie. No body can make a excuse that they did not see this coming. Kakashi was a hokage you expected him to go on a important mission? Sasuke was out of the village to discover himself. Did you expect him to be part of this important mission?

The only thing I can think of is that this meteor was... bigger than the rest? Yeah, I can't think of another valid reason other than him being injured or something like that.

I agree but doesn't SP have a history of marketing Sasuke in the other movies? Him appearing for so little time. Only movie he was there longer when they went to village of snow x3. Can't remember any other one.

That is true but I don't think Sasuke was marketed that heavily for this movie. Not as far as the trailers go anyways.

Same, in RTN sasuke was marketed also. Only saw him not long and it wasn't the real one lol.

Well yeah that is my point. Rather they market him or not someone will complain. I don't get why some people are making this such a big deal?

The chapters 689 and 700 were extremely compressed and made people wanting more even though I think for compressed chapters it was handled just fine. But now they wanted the movie to be compressed.. War arc was the same- people complained that it was too long and at the same time they complained that many fights were skipped

Of course the producers etc would also like to keep material for other anime or movie work subsequently- it's their income source. But when it comes to Naruto people seem to keep harsher criteria to judge it and ignore the similar problems in other mangas/movies altogether. I guess part of the reason is that crowd is here more and when they gather they need something to talk to and finding faults is easiest thing to do.

Rather you hate the series or love the series if it keeps you interested in either, it means it was something special. Or else why would you keep your expectations high for it in the first place? Maybe that is the reason why they are still milking this series. Because they know there are tons of passionate fans out there who will continue to talk about it or buy its merchandise.

Well.. The pilot chapter for Naruto was published in 1997. This is 2014. That's almost 18 years of hard work so I don't blame them wanting to build upon it or finding ways to market it longer. Carrying out a single story for this long despite hiccups here and there for this long cannot be easy with weekly dead line.

And hiccups are to be expected - since only the beginning and endings and story concept can determined beforehand. How to reach from point A to B- should it be a straight line ( boring and many distort form) or curved or how many extra points would be needed in between to shape it correctly comes later. If the story is completed before publication then the rough edges can be fixed/redrawn; not so much when it's already done for. Naruto's story was following rather a rigid verse and story line. On top of it, it's constantly under microscope by too many people ( fans and haters) so everything gets exaggerated.

And then I should make a new thread with the title: "While everyone is saying NS fans are the problem for everything we forget to look at the petty, overbearing, cocky, whiny, irritating, rub-it-in-your-face-at-every-turn NH fans" Oh and disclaimer unlike a seeming majority of NH fans that hate on NS I will acknowledge that the actual majority are probably nice decent people, and that as$holes like this make their fandom look bad.
