well he simply asked danzo based on what obito told him, he asked based on the info he was given because he wanted to verify if what obito told him was the actual truth, if danzo replied in the negative am pretty sure sasuke wouldnt take it lightly with obito. also what other side of the strory?? sasuke knows why they were taken out and he knows it was done to the benefit of the village but he obv doesnt put the village over his clan so he obv didnt care. also about listening to obito you forget to mention obito came to sasuke at a time where he was emotionally vulnerable which was after hes battle with itachi, he knew that was his chance to get sasuke because the latters mind wasnt in the best of shape.sasuke payed him attention but there were some reasons which the manga showed which would have given sasuke little reason to doubt obitos words at first
-he remembered the night of the massacre, when he ran after itachi and threw his kunais at him, he actually saw itachi shed a tear but he repressed those memories as he believed them to be false but upon hearing obitos words about itachi, he began to recollect what he saw that night.

. this memory was what made him believe perhaps obito was actually telling the truth because it coincides with what he saw with his own eyes, so with that he held on to obitos words as a result

. but later on with him questioning danzo we can infer that still he didnt hold it as absolute truth hence still needed to confirm it. sasuke was upset that the person hes tried in his entire life to get rid off was the same person who actually protected him and was made to slaughter the clan owing the words of the konoha higher ops and danzo of course he would ignore danzos words. you are talking with the guy who gave your brother the order to carry out an action that has left a scar on your life, and you want to sasuke to pay attention to him?
like i said he knows that they were taken out because they wanted a coup, all was done for knonohas benefit but sasuke didnt care because hes a guy who values his clan more, and using the person he loved the most to carry out the order sickened him. still questioning danzo showed he still needed some answers before he begins hes revenge, he wasnt just acting because of obitos words alone.
the same obito whom he attacked and told to his face that they werent allies?

. dont kid yourself, he was the one using obito and akatsuki for his own benefit. he was with him to further his own agenda he didnt attack it, he sneaked in. the samurais attacked and sasuke defended and defeated them, they had him surrounded and engaged him hence he obliged. all this doesnt change the fact that they wouldnt have known he was there if zetsu didnt pull that stunt. you want to talk about logical well i can easily use the same for obito. he attacked kushina and minato, separated them and later on removed the kyuubi from her. he got the kyuubi which he what he wanted but rather than simply leave which is what a logical person would do, he opted to attack the village with kurama and in the end he not only lost the 1 vs 1 battle he also lost kurama, something he came for. thats retarded
no, am pretty sure you didnt say "some truth", you literally asserted what danzo said. and i have already explained why sasuke had no reason to listen to him.
obitos being better is nothing more than a joke, complete and utter joke.

Sasuke and Kakashi are the best written character in the story imo both their past were explained in depth and the reason for them being who they are today is perfectly explained, not forgetting they both developed realistically
Probably have to go with the most recent then, which is in the 3rd Databook. Kakashi had the greatest popularity (cumulative of six polls, I believe it was, but would have to double check...maybe it was 3 poll accumulation).

OT: It's Itachi in my opinion, but right behind him are Sasuke, Kakashi, and Madara. Love them or hate them they kept a constant interest in the series even during a time when the manga was declining. Especially Sasuke who saved it with his Revolution.

When it comes to the overall character. I believe sasuke is the best, not just because he's sasuke but, sasuke has proven to be the greatest in forms of character development. Plus he's a character people can both have sympathy for and emphasize with since we know of his past with his brother and then the tragic story of his clan. Sasuke is also very unorthodox, when it comes to motives it's both obvious and then again it's not and yet we remember the trauma he had and what he's gone through. We've had the level head cool sasuke and the outright insane sasuke. Both personas add flavor to Naruto, Naruto as interesting as he is and as great as his ideals are hasn't interested me at all. Some characters are just too bland, performing the same tech over and over and have no real development. Whereas sasuke can always make a situation more interesting as he always has a fresh new tech to use and noy only that, his personality makes it fun to just sit and observe him as a character. I am not even lying right now when I say this but Naruto fans and sasuke haters make more threads about sasuke then sasuke fans then their own fave. I don't know why but also when Naruto gets a new power up it's hyped for about a few days to one week, when sasuke gets a new power up the fannase goes nuts. Sasuke is just a better character than the rest in terms of development and creativity. A primary reason is that saauke isn't cliche, he's a character that is his own person with other characters some less cliche then others, their stuff has already been seen countless of times. But when something fresh id brought the reader, hater or fan, is more mystified by said character. In my opinion in terms of best characters, it goes from sasuke, madara, then negato, jiraya, Naruto, then the rest.
