Because we've never actually seen Hagoromo fight, so ofc i'm gonna use inferences etc..

Yeah, so madara was duped, lvl down.

The only inferences you can use for Hagoromo is the powers he handed to Naruto and Sasuke; which both proved useless to Madara because he had those powers himself and none of it damaged him.

Okay, why is this valid to this match-up?​

Naruto, Sasuke, DMS Kakashi, Sakura and recent help from Obito helped defeat her. It wasn't just his chakra and you fail to acknowledge that it wasn't just his chakra; Naruto had the separate Tailed Beasts power (something Hagoromo didn't give) and the Senjutsu of the Six Paths. Sasuke had his Uchiha abilities (something Hagoromo didn't give) and the Rin'negan. So they were already souped up to begin with, and are far stronger than just the split chakra of Hagoromo. Hagoromo already conceded that his mother was on another level. And Kakashi did more damage than anybody in that fight, so no way in hell was it just Naruto and Sasuke who beat her.

@ bolded: Lol, come again??? All 'uchiha abilities' originated from the elder son of hagoromo, Indra in the first place./fail.

As for the rest of your post, do you really think kakashi or obito would even have been able to live long enough to face kaguya if it weren't for hagoromo's handouts???

No they were by faaaar the most significant contributors sasuke even said naruto if you or i die this world ends.

Even with Hagoromo's handouts, Naruto and Sasuke use his powers better than him. First, they're more skilled in using the power. Second, they were already powerful before the handout; Naruto had SM and Kurama's power and Sasuke had EMS's full potential. Given to how they battled Juubito and were close to EMS Madara and Hashirama. The same applies to Kakashi. This battle is only dependent on sufficient skill, and Madara has that quality. He's a priest ffs.​

Because its a hype battle. We've seen one guy(madara) fight more than a thousand times but have never really seen the other(hagoromo) in combat. You have to go on hype in such a situation.

I think hago would win, he had many other worldly jutsu that trump modern jutsu, he can summon death gokages, can cancel edo even when the castor still alive, can summoning peoples from other dimensions by his own if he had enough chakra, can give power to someone, still alive although in other world and many more.

How about invented ninshu, saved the world from the juubi, created 9 tailed beasts, left the world with the seal of a jinchurki, created(helped create?) the moon, was the first to divine the true nature and meaning of chakra itself(upon which all ninjutsu would later come to be based), passed on his teachings and strength to his two sons, whose descendants would become the two most powerful shinobi clans the uchiha and the senju.

Now madara: was leader of the uchiha clan, co founded konoha with hashirama, lost to hashirama at the vote, could not save his brother, spent the rest of his existence trying to obtain hagoromo's power and carry out the eye of the moon plan.

Except Hagorama didn't do a moon sized CT. It was the special seals on their hands that did it. When Hagorama fought Kaguya he only had 1 half of the seal and Hamura had the other.

Rikudou and Madara all have the same powers. Rinnegan, Yin-Yang Chakra, Juubi's while Madara has his Uchiha's powers, which Hagoromo most likely possess as well. It comes down to whose intellectual enough to use his powers effectively, and Madara being the veteran warrior with hundred years of experience, without doubt use his powers better. Madara has an edge.​

Madara has an incomplete juubi and an incomplete tree absorbed which means lower power.

Hagoromo is an alien anyway, he could beat Madara anyday

Madara is essentially a artificial copy cat of the real thing minus half of Kurama (which is huge) and bits of some other tailed beast. I think the answer is clear if you think logically.
