Really now? Did the story genuinely suck or did you dislike it for the lack of P1/P2?

The game seems to get incredibly high ratings. Overall I've seen a few 8's, a few 9's and 4/5's. I still can't wait for the european release. I'm either going to pre-order or get it on release day right away.

Also, that opening song is...amazing. I can't stop listening to it now. Exactly what I've come to expect from Persona 3/4. It actually has rejuvenated my hype for the game.

If only we'd get more info on Persona 5...

Haha, thanks. I'm not that much into Dynasty Warriors. I only played Dynasty Warriors 4. I've almost played every Zelda game, though. The zelda aspect of the game is what sparked my interest. The great soundtrack and gameplay is what eventually got me and pulled me in.

Eh, lack of Tatsuya aside, it was very underwhelming. The premise of the story (namely Sho) was good, but it wasn't handled/executed very well. Take out Sho and what little "progression" the plot offered to advance the P3/4 storyline, and there isn't all that much there.

They should have just made an OVA, in my opinion.

Well, don't get me wrong, Ultimax is an incredible fighter. That's probably where the high ratings come from. But I didn't get it because it was a fighting game, I got it because I wanted some quality Persona story. And it fell short in that regard (at least to me).

You should still get it though, there's still some good moments and lots of character development. It's not like I'm gonna go back to the store and throw it at the employee

The openings always get me so hyped >.>

Ah yes, the elusive P5. I'm sure there'll be a little more before it's released (namely actual gameplay), but I wouldn't expect a lot

I've always enjoyed Lotus Juice's rapping, especially when he goes ham like at the 1:00 min mark. His flow is pretty damn hype. Hopefully he's on a lot of the PQ soundtrack.

That's how most fighting games are. Their main focus is usually the fighting mechanics and such, but not really the story. I still enjoyed it, but not as much as any persona game I played and I suck at fighting games.

Also really awesome opening when I first saw this. =D

True. Some fighters have a great story and characters, but the focus is on gameplay more than anything else.
I guess my point was that they could have handled it better >.>

I didn't know that you had got it! Are you done the story?

Ya, I forgot to mention it. I'm almost done finishing the story,but I was too busy with some stuff to do.

Theory time.

If Mitusru is ranked #1 in the Shadow Operatives, and Aegis is only ranked like #5 and the rest of the P3 cast is lower than her (or not even given a number at all)... then who are numbers 2 through 4? The number is based on skill/power, as established in P4A and in Ultimax.

Someone stronger than Aegis and Akihiko? They'd have to be Persona-users... and some damn experienced ones.

Looks like there's still some hope for P1/2...

Also, it seems that everyone in that picture is relevant. The silhouette to the far left appears to be Kikuno (new Ultimax chick, Mitusru's butler, same posture). If they put that much care into the photo, then is it just a coincidence that I see silhouettes reminiscent of Katsuya, Baofu, and possibly Kei Nanjo (all between Kikuno and Mitsuru)?

I thought of that the moment I heard Junpei was involved in Ultimax. The guy on the right next to Mitsuru is obviously Junpei. Yukari is probably standing behind Junpei. Nice one, Magatsu.

The only problem is that if they are ever going to reveal them, it means they will release another game based on P1-P4. The more they do that the more P4 starts to look like a simple cash-grab.

Also, I just looked up that ''Kikuno'' person. She has a pretty awesome character design. I love that. That Sho guy seems awesome as well. Plus, I heard he makes amazing puns. There are times when a game company makes a spin-off of a certain game and creates extremely generic characters with it to support it. Glad Atlus didn't do that.

Also, I can't take it anymore. I might just watch the first few minutes of Adachi's storyline now. Damn european release date.

I think the "cash grab" status has been attained already :zise:

-2 anime series, and a movie
-2 fighter spinoffs/sequels
-1 enhanced port (P4G)
-1 rhythm spinoff (Dancing All Night)
-1 crossover spinoff (PQ)
-1 spinoff manga (Detective Naoto)

It's already being milked. It's just been done very well, so far, that we aren't getting fed up. But I see your point, they'd have to be VERY careful if they made that game.

Yeah, Kikuno was a nice addition. Apparently she was already introduced in some voice-drama that nobody heard of

and LOL, Sho has the best puns in Persona history.

You could import it, but that would be a hassle, as I do believe we've previously discussed.

I haven't played since Soul Silver. I was thinking of jumping back in with ORAS, but idk... is it worth it?

You should, I think Gen 3 was arguably the best generation of Pokemon, and their remakes are going to sell like hotcakes U_U

I played almost every single pokemon game that came out (not including the spin-offs). I'm probably going to get OR when it comes out. U_U

I will eventually get Persona Q as soon as I finish playing Persona 4 Ultimax. Been very busy over the week.
