This is actually my honest opinion. It's not that I don't like the series. I've been a Naruto fan for almost 10 years now, and it's really depressing to see such an awesome series end. BUT. We cannot have a part 3. The path that Naruto has taken is very similar to that of Dragon Ball. We had an outstanding 1st part, an excellent 2nd part, but when the 3rd part comes around, I'm willing to bet that Naruto will end up like DBGT. We will see Naruto become an adult...etc etc just like how Goku became older in DBGT.
If, however by any chance, that there will be a part 3, the enjoyment value will decline. Not to the level of disappointment seen in DBGT. Part 3 Naruto it will hold its ground for a while, since there can still be some relevant stuff to cover, but it definitely wont last long. Seeing that Kishimoto is such an good writer, I believe that he will somehow wrap up Naruto in Part 2 and not make the same mistake as the creator of DBGT.
That's also why I'm very skeptical about the "New Era Project". Hopefully it will last only for a few months so that all the grounds are covered and we get a little bit of insight into the future of Narutoverse, which will be greatly appreciated. However, if worst comes to worst, the New Era Project will be another GT and a money milker.
yup.
