Why do people dislike Hinata?

She still has more character, though she's also, arguably, one of Naruto's best friends, and has more goals for herself than "Sasuke-kun". If anything, while she loves Sasuke (for some reason) she seems to care more about Naruto.

I don't like any pairing in this series( the romance is bad) but the only pairing I would prefer happened is NaruSaku because their relationship with each other is the best between any male and female in the series.

Not surprise with the children in here expecting and not understanding that she is not a main character , Yet they expect her and want her to be on that Level Kakashi , Nardo, Sasky and Haruno are , which she isn't , her character really doesn't hurt anyone , same with Karin since they are secondary characters and don't really affect the plot . She's Loyal and caring probably why some of the basement virgins in here don't like since they never even had those type of relationships outside NB . She needs to be strong mentally but again she gives no relevance to the plot so it doesn't hurt .

That's not the case with me I can't like Hinata due to how unoriginal and cliche she is written now that does not mean I hate her it just means I don't like her. (Or don't like her character if that helps you catch my drift).
I do however hate (or at least find them to be an annoyance) charcters that get more praise then they deserve based on how they are written. Hinata fits that description perfectly. So when soneone start overrating her ill either begin to see her as an annoyance or start hating her charcter.

Maybe itʻs some feminists that dislike how most of her panel time is spent thinking about naruto, but personally I donʻt see whatʻs wrong with that. She doesnʻt like naruto because she has some school-girl crush on the guy, she likes him because of who he is and his ideology is something that she believes in as well. When the time came that Naruto was doubting himself and was about to join obito, she was right there to slap some sense back into him.

Other than that, maybe some people just donʻt like people like her who are quieter and shy, and maybe the NaruSaku shippers dislike her because she gets in the way.

All in all though I think sheʻs one of the best female characters. To me her personality is irrelevant, itʻs her ideology and heart thatʻs what makes her one of the best.
