Why do people dislike Hinata?

Hinata gained my respect when she saved Narutos and took on Pain (she was prepared to go out fighting one of the most powerful opponents (Pain/Nagato) which showed a considerable amount of bravery and self sacrifice. Up until that point the only Hyuuga that was my fav was Neji (and still is). However Hinata gets a nod from me.
People dislike her because she is shy etc.. or because of the narusaku vs naruhina wars.
I personally like her. So what if she is shy? There are people like that in the world. She is genuinely a good person.

Because hater hate , that's what they does , I mean why could you even hate on a side character like hinata who has no significant part of the story ? That only proves that hinata character is well written that's comparable to main characters (people tend to compare sakura with her ) and anyway why would you bother the number of hinata fans is really shocking and that's why haters loves to hate on her

Some of them are pairing fans from the pairing called;Narusaku. Others dislike hinata because she's always saying "Naruto-kun" or what they like to called "stalker" from there view. Hinata is is good character for me, i see nothing wrong honestly. You'll see hate for every character, as people have there own views towards them.
I bet she'd roflstomp any b*tch in Konoha in a pure Taijutsu fight. I like how you're merging Part 1 Hinata's feats with current Hinata's feats just to make current Hinata look bad. And she does care about her Squad; and she could definitely shit on Sakura 1v1. And her eyes aren't gross. Try again.[SUB]

There's no such thing as"overrated character" what makes a character special it's either their attitude or their power and the results may cause either hate or love for the character so every single character that's called"overrated" did something that makes people think that he/she is great therefore when some character is called overrated makes sure he/she are special
That's not the case with me I can't like Hinata due to how unoriginal and cliche she is written now that does not mean I hate her it just means I don't like her. (Or don't like her character if that helps you catch my drift).
I do however hate (or at least find them to be an annoyance) charcters that get more praise then they deserve based on how they are written. Hinata fits that description perfectly. So when soneone start overrating her ill either begin to see her as an annoyance or start hating her charcter.
