sasuke tried not to kill him. he had him several times on the ground, could have easily killed him, if he wanted.
on the other hand, his c4 kills 90% of the nins, only sannin-/kage-level nins could counter such a thing.
7/10

I gave you a rep for the facts on Sasuke.

Kisame Hoshigaki is one of the 7 Legendary Swordsmen of the Mist and said to be the strongest of them all..

This guy murdered several ninjas and was worldwide known for his crimes..
He was known by using water and earth elements on battle and to wield the best of all swords Samehada..

He was the best ninja using water element and he had an insane amount of chakra making him a type of Bijuu without Tails..

He was very well skilled in Ninjutsu and Taijutsu and his Samehada could rip chakra's opponents apart and turn it into stamina to recover or add in Kisame's stamina. Making it the perfect weapon.. Unfortunely Samehada also seems to think on her own and can chose her partner..

Kisame is also a smart shinobi and a funny and cool character. Very powerful,he fought Gai and his squad with only 30% of himself and made Gai open 6 Gates to beat him.
He fought, defeated and captured the 4 Tailed Beast & in my opinion defeated Hachibi as well,if it wasn't for Samehada's betrayal..

Kisame receives an 8.5/10

You definitely hit all of Kisame's good points as they were well thought out/typed and I agree with them all. He is my favorite Akatsuki member and second is Kakuzu. It was really pathetic to see how Samehada back-stabbed him when he has had that weapon for such a long time. I very much enjoyed the kick he gave to the betraying sword. I hope that he somehow survived even though the possibility is slim but I say this, given his death was a suspicious one and Kishi has yet to reveal the aftermath.

I think Kisame is a better Shinobi then everyone thinks. Generally you play to your strengths. His strength is LARGE sums of Chakra. The Samehada attached to KISAME, not the opposite way around. Thus he probably spent most of his time working on ninjutsu and not taijutsu with his sword. I wouldn't doubt him being alive still. ;]

I hope so.. Guy is badass.. His usual cockyness, sarcasm and smirkly remarks next to Itachi's calm & lack of apparent emotions and power of analysis. Made them the coolest Akatsuki pair.

Well he has a reason to be a Cocky, Sarcastic Ass. His Chakra is as much as a Jinchuriki. o___o;

That is an usual feat and he should have played his strengths to that. Which I wouldn't doubt he did. If so he'd know a lot of Jutsu and POSSIBLY could be alive. xD;

Itachi is long range, Hidan is medium/long range also.

Kisame is Close Range, Kakuzu uses taijutsu he is mid/close range.

Bad teams. Good teams are various to deal with different situations. They split up exposing weaknesses a lot more. If Hidan was more like a tank and just took hits whilst Kakuzu focused on killing people and healing Hidan it'd be a perfect team. They didn't work together and thus there wasn't a "Team."

Hidan was unkillable. If he got his head cut off that first time by Asuma, Itachi couldn't re-attach it. Hidan wasn't the greatest Akatsuki but the reason WHY he was actually IN the Akatsuki is because of Kakuzu's ability to reattach limbs.

Third data book results.
Hidan
Ninjutsu 5
Taijutsu 4.5
Genjutsu 3
Intelligence 3
Strength 4
Speed 3.5
Stamina 5
Hand seals 3.5
Total 31.5
Kishi gives him more credit then you. :]

In Naruto Hiden: Sha no Sho Character Official Data Book, Kishimoto revealed that Hidan's design, with the skeletal patterns and scythe, were meant to resemble a shinigami (死神, "death god," "grim reaper"), because "Hidan uses curses and things." He also noted that he originally planned for the scythe to have a number of special tricks, but "didn't have time to show them all."

Another reason why you can't 100% judge characters is because they usually don't show off ALL their skills.

you misunderstood what i meant about itachi and hidan. if itachi cast a genjutsu on hidan and controlled him, using itachi's knowledge and battle skills, hidan wouldnt get his head cut off because itachi wouldnt simply let someone cut off his head. it would be a perfect team! think of hidan as itachi's immortal kagebunshin with the ability to curse someone with a single drop of blood. and with itachi's skills, he could probably think up 1000 ways to get a single drop of blood from someone.

That is assuming that they even go into sage mode against Itachi. Itachi could EASILY use Amaratsu and burn all 3 of them and walk away. o____o

And jiraiya could seal the flames remember?

LOL he sealed a tiny bit of them just to make an hole.. It still took some seconds..
Amaterasu burns everything in sight in a matter of a blink..

Well he still sealed them, and how do you know jiraiya wouldnt know another way to seal them? I know we didnt see it but we didnt see all his techniques either...

Maybe but he still could not make nothing against Itachi's Invencible Susano'o and would just be sealed for eternity like Orochimaru was..

Don't put Jiraiya on such high standards.. He was as strong as Orochimaru..

Yes he was but not in the same way, Oro was twisted and weird, jiraiya was more determined with like the will of fire which i believe made him stronger

Doesn't suggest They would lose against Jiraiya at all.

Jiraiyas powerful, but come on, danzo has stated Itachis Genjutsu is on a whole new level, manipulating time, and sure Jiraiya can seal amaterasu with pen and paper, but when itachis firing out a field worth of the stuff which we have seen him do then J man will be under pressure.

Plus sword of totsuka is unavoidable, has lots of reach and has no counter, plus Jiraiya cant hit Itachi who has yatas mirror.

These chapters are old, and the akatsuki have grown a lot since then.

Jiraiyas very strong, but many members of akatsuki can beat him

Itachi
Kisame
Pain
Tobi
..Kakuzu? (he was ganged up on and even with FRS kakashi had to kill the 5th heart, FRS only killed 2 hearts.)

Sasori maybe, I still personally think sasori was cheapened vastly.

He was against an enemy that knew his techs and movements, plus he had a change of heart at the end, chiyo said he purposefully didnt dodge when he was fully capable...

He had regrets and wasnt fighting to full
sasori is actually extremely strong

okay i agree that kakashi had to finish kakuzu off, but dont forget that after the hit from FRS he couldnt mould chakra anymore. So he was as good as dead

Also he couldnt even move, all his cells in his body had been sliced, if he could move he would have tried to avoid kakashis chidori :p
