Remaking this old thread.
The way I see it, Obito is basically naruto's answers to Darth Vader.
-Both were former friends of the mentor of the main character
-Both were horribly scarred at one point in their lives and were constructed as monstrosities more machine (or plant, in Obito's case, than man)
-Both turned evil because of the deaths of the people they loved-Both were extremely powerful-Both were the dragon to the main big bad, but were the more active villain
-Both were dark reflections of the hero
-And finally, both turned good again, despite all the evil they committed
-Also, both pretty much became force ghosts when they died, making peace with their friends.
There may be other things I'm missing as well, your thoughts (tbh, my username is actually based on their similarities)?
