The anime has a lot of fillers and WAY more fanserviceA little fanservice is good. I'm watching 1st ep now.
Just saying =P
Also the current arc in the manga is better than most of Naruto's and some of Bleach

Sounds Interesting.Just wait, you will meet erza soon. Lol
O_O Okay thanks for the huif u love fanservice , then yes , if not then no. beware the chapters 330 and 331 or something along those lines.
Straight.Straight or gay fanservice
That's because a lot of people don't watch things critically and once they start to like the characters, then everything is set.Straight.
Don't trust these fools that say it's a great series, they're just completely biased.
Fairy Tail is a good series at best.
I personally enjoy it a lot. Sure the plot is lacking but it entertains me so I guess that's all that matters.
Lol I rarely see you post on the Forumsman.. shit.. i read a bunch of Fairy Tail.. and i started when IT first started.. it truly depends on ur tastes..
Fan Service.. Yes, it's there.
Good Battles.. Yes, they are there
However...
Memorable moments/memorable characters.. In my opinion.. i'm not sure.. cuz i read all i could, then i got bored. BUT i know there's a time skip, which is right where i quit, so i didn't read/see the time skip, i stopped JUST before it..
i suppose the story is cool.. it's truly a shonen manga.. no matter what is said, it's definitely worth a try.. whether watching or reading.. cuz there's over 150 eps, which is a good amount.. and maybe like 300 chapters or close to it, i'm not sure.
it's worth a look for sure tho
It are 400 chapters since yesterday. It'll be 400 chapters by monday.
I actually never considered FT to be a real shounen series. If you would ask the question who is the male character that makes it a shounen, it would be Natsu and the mysteries that surround Natsu indeed form an important part of the plot. However in the end most of the time this is pushed to the background and only sporadically touched. Only in the most recent arcs it became more prominent, but for the rest the series always focused on the Fairy Tail guild as a whole and the group of Natsu, Lucy, Gray, Happy and Erza in particular. I mean FT has an unusual amount of strong female characters that are very prominent. If you like shonen anime like Naruto and Bleach, then definitely
And the ones who said it's a bad or not a great series aren't? What you just said in itself can be considered a very strong representation of being biased.Straight.

And a lot of people watch things too critically, ruining pretty much the entire thing for themselves and then try to ruin it for other people too. Once they deem something bad, everything is set likewise. That's because a lot of people don't watch things critically and once they start to like the characters, then everything is set.
That point is something me, and countless other of FT fans, have been saying for a hellish long amount of time. FT is not, has never been and never has had the intention to be series with a deep, complex plot and whatnot. It's a simple series meant to entertain you. To be blunt it's a series where you first set everything in your head on <zero> and then enjoin the series. And it works. You sir just made one damn good valid point.
This lolI would like to add another often overlooked yet pertinent reason, the author Hiro Mashima, he really cares for his fans, be it 3 chapters in a week, spin offs, crossovers, fan-arts, the man cares for the people who read his manga, he never shies away from work and tries to give the best to the fans, his art is great and his sheer dedication to his work, makes him stand out.
For a reader of mangas like HxH, Berserk, which are laden with hiatuses Mashima comes as a reprieve. His attitude has not changed since his Rave days and his dedication towards series has only increased.
As for the Plot of Fairy Tail, it's for both kind of fans, those who analyse it and read it very deeply are satiated in the end and for those who just skim through the manga it's completely enjoying.
