I sincerely doubt that as HSDK was a shounen series pur sang. I can't really imagine having a female heroine in a series that has that much fanservice.

Only the first few 140 chapters got animated, which was like 5 years ago. It was ok, not spectacular, but not bad either. In the meantime several OVA were released though, however I have never seen those.

hoping for a sequel too. especially since its definite he's working on something new, he blurred out who kenichi married, tho we know who it is. and he didn't show us adult kenichi. just an arm also .. is kenichi stronger than the elder now seeing as how he placed that condition on dating a certain someone.

Indeed it is, I recommend you the read the manga in it's entirety.

And poetic, it gives the impression the entire story was told from the start by Kenichi. Not to mention all the chapters, excluding the last one, cover a time period of a single year xd

After 12 years of serialization, after 5 years of watching the anime, after 3 years of reading the manga, its over. Through good and bad times, I've alot from this series. As my 2nd favorite manga series of all time, it made me take up martial arts, it helped me mature, it helped me develop my "Go with the flow" philosophy. I've been down a long road with History's Strongest Disciple Kenichi, but now the road is gone. The journey ends here. Now, I feel like doing this:

It ending to me was bitter sweet as there were alot of unanswered questions such as: Where was Saiga Furinji? Did Kenichi defeat the Elder? Why didn't we get to see the elder go all out? Why didn't Ogata and Mikumo get enough backstory? I would've atleast liked to see Kenichi journey into becoming a master but I did enjoy the feeling of the story being told by Kenichi. Its very poetic. Anyways, its been fun History's Strongest Disciple Kenichi. I would like for there to be more chapters going in depth on Kenichi falling into the class of masters but for now, all I can do is say farewell to a well enjoyed and inspring series.

after 12 years, the manga has come to a close.. it ended kinda suddenly, with one chapter summing up the end, BUT i loved everything up til now and i suppose i'm satisfied with the end.

has anyone else read it? if you have, any comments?

i'll be SUPER dissappointed if no one.. or less that at least 50 people out of a supposed 100,000 on the base, have not read this manga..

sure, plenty of things were left undisclosed.. like some pairings, like who became masters.. stuff like that.. but man.. all the way through, this manga was awesome..
