Habaki casually draws his bow as he hears Pablo speak.
Good. Now, what can you tell me about 'Sniper Arts'?
"I feel like Sniper Arts is all about speed and accuracy, you need to trick your opponent into doing one thing so that he'd be unable to see/hear the arrow coming at him."Pablo looked in awe at the bow Habaki drew. It was red and double bladed, it gave a feeling of power and speed. Still impressed, Pablo starts to tell his view on sniper arts.
Well, first and foremost Sniper Arts involves the usage of bow and arrow. Since arrows are fast and thin projectiles, they are great for very accurate attacks and can surprise your opponent when used correctly.
Sniper Arts basically enhances that concept since you either infuse the arrows with chakra or create elemental arrows that have special effects. A basic example would be an arrow that when it gets close to an opponent, would explode/open and several needles would get launched out of it.
I feel like Sniper Arts is all about speed and accuracy, you need to trick your opponent into doing one thing so that he'd be unable to see/hear the arrow coming at him. Since a user of this fighting style has to be fast and accurate, he should train his senses to increase his tracking speed. Like that he'd be able to perfectly predict where an opponent would run/fall/jump and then fire his arrow.
Very good, that wasn't half bad. I liked your style and posture. Now it's time to include some elemental usage with your bow. To perform this technique you'll need some explosively tagged arrows, you can have them pre-made or simply wrap them yourself. With the bow in hand (Or not) I want you to channel earth chakra into the ground and manipulate the earth beneath you, allowing you to shift it like a platform forward to your left or right five yards. As you are doing so, you will either pull out your bow or simply aimed your already drawn weapon. Due to the shifts of the ground, it will naturally raise a cloud of dust that will conceal your lower body from the neck down, reducing the chances of your target seeing you pulling/aiming your bow. As the first shift occurs, you will release a single arrow towards your target whilst also then shifting the same earthen platform five yards to the opposite side. While doing so, you will release yet another arrow and proceed to shift for the last two, to your previous side five yards once more. This will allow you to perform a fluid and swift zig-zagging combination, releasing three arrows in total from three different locations whilst keeping your body concealed. Needless to say, the first released arrow would draw the target's attention from what you are doing.I have this vague memory of fighting a Sniper Arts user before. I think I lost that fight as well..
Pablo studies the bow as he takes it from Mathias. It felt light and comfortable in his left hand. He then grabbed the case of arrows and put it on his back so that he could easily reach it with his right hand.
Following Habaki's directions, Pablo closes his eyes and concentrates deeply. He blocks all sound and just tries to feel the wind. The wind was pretty weak and Pablo realized that it wouldn't affect the trajectory of his arrows that much. He opened his eyes and measured the distance between himself and the dummies. Since the dummies were between mid and long range from him, Pablo knew that he should aim higher into the air and not directly at the dummies. He was lucky the sun was behind him, it would've proved difficult to see the dummies clearly if the sun was hindering his sight.
He then grabbed an arrow with his right hand and put it on the bow. He aimed towards the ground right in front of him and as he pulled back the string his aim would go higher and higher untill he was aiming a fair bit above the dummies. He inhaled deeply and as he exhaled, he released the string. The arrow got fired and flew through the air at high speed. And eventually it would hit the dummy. Not exactly where Pablo had aimed, but practice would make his aim better.
He repeated this whole proces over and over untill he got the hang of it. His aim still wasn't perfect, but he fluently drew an arrow and fired it now, making sure he exhaled when he fired one. Arrow after arrow started flying through the air and pierced deep into the dummies.
I'm glad you like it! And yes, that's correct. Although, it depends on the actual size of the wind bullets.Pablo nodded as Habaki finished his explanation. He put the bow on the ground and then grabbed a few explosion notes which he attached to some arrows. Once he was done, he picked the bow up again with his left hand and looked over at the training dummies.
He went through the explanation Habaki gave him one last time and and then started channeling earth chakra into the ground underneath him. Once he had gathered enough chakra below him, he used it to manipulate the earth and made it move forward. The first direction he headed towards was his left, as the earth was moving he grabbed an arrow and placed it on his bow. Pablo then pulled the string back, aimed a bit above the most right dummy and then let the arrow go. As soon as he let the arrow fly, he used his chakra to make the earth underneath him go to the left and placed a arrow on the bow once more. He pulled the string back and started aiming at the middle target. Since he was getting closer and closer to the dummies he had to aim more and more directly at the dummies since the arrow wouldn't travell as far. Once he had moved 5 yards he let the arrow go and made the earth move once more. He repeated the whole proces and once he had gone another 5 yards he let the last arrow go. As soon as he did so, he stopped channeling earth chakra into the ground and as he looked back at Habaki, he saw that he had travelled a fair distance and due to his speed, a cloud of dust had appeared.
Hey Habaki, I like this jutsu! I feel like it can be perfectly used when your opponents shoots for example wind bullets at you. You would be able to dodge them by moving and attack at the same time, wouldn't you?
No issues what's so ever!Understood!
When Habaki finished his explanation, Pablo turned to face another set of training dummies and got into a shooting stance. As he aimed at the first dummy, he started gathering fire chakra into his right hand. Once he had gathered eough chakra, he concentrated deeply and formed an arrow made out of fire. He then pulled back the string of the bow, made sure his aim was correct, exhaled and let go of the arrow and string. As soon as he let go of the arrow and string, he performed a handseal and made the arrow turn into a small fireball. Immediatly afterwards, he started gathering wind chakra in his right hand as he pulled back the string. Once he had gathered enough chakra, he once again created an arrow out of it, aimed and let go. As the (wind) arrow caught up to the fireball, he performed the handseal once more and turned the wind arrow into a small gust of wind. The wind and fire would combine and burn/cut the dummy.
Pablo then raised his bow again and adjusted his aim slightly, this time his target was the second training dummy. And the whole process restarted. He would pull back the string of his bow with his right hand whilst channeling chakra into it. Now it was water chakra. After gathering a sufficient amound of chakra, he used shape manipulation to turn the chakra into an arrow. When the arrow was formed, he exhaled and released the string. After doing so, he performed the signature handseal once more and turned the arrow into a small blast of water. As Pablo pulled back the string again, he started gathering lightning chakra into his hand, formed an arrow out of it and released the arrow and string. He performed the handseal as the arrow caught up with the water and this time, the lightning would electrocute the water and increase it's damage.
Finally, Pablo started gathering earth chakra into his right hand as he pulled back the string. He adjusted his aim for the last time and once he had made sure he would hit his target, he created an arrow out of the chakra and let go of the string. He then performed the handseal and turned the arrow into a small round shield. The shield could block small projectiles, however since the dummy couldn't shoot/throw anything, the shield would hit the head of the dummy and Pablo realized the shield could deal a nice amount of damage as well when used correctly.
