But in all honesty, I don't really think AoT really deserves the hype it does. The plot isn't even thought out well imo, It's just more well-known due to it's gore, but AGK tops that easily.

There will always be a series better than the other, and this often leads to a popular saying of "it's overrated", mainly on the more known series, because people enjoy questioning a series' popularity, because "hipster". The rating of a series lies in the eyes of the beholder, hence it can't appeal to everyone, so you can't really say that. So just because you think AoT is bad, doesn't mean it's bad in everyone's perspective. I mean I'm not personally a fan of it either, but I can accept the fandom's views, just as I accept others', I hope for them to accept mine. I mean, there are so many series that deserve the fame AgK is getting, yet they don't. Be happy AgK came this far already. I can, however see this going further. AgK and Tokyo Ghoul has sparked a huge riot lately.
