Even if they don't love him they still want him (and in Leone's case, mark him). Even if they are just messing around, it is a bit annoying.

I was only once actually irritated by it, which was when Chelsea started to seemingly developing a crush on Tatsumi as well. But then she died.
I don't think Chelsea loved Tatsumi, Tatsumi just became a figure of inspiration for her or something of sorts.

That's still not really considered a harem... They just want to use him to satisfy their sexual desires or see him suffer (in Dolothea's case), they don't really love him or anything like that much like Cosmina rapes every second guy just because she wants to satisfy her sexual desires.

I don't really consider a rapist that has no love interest in said target to be a part of a harem. Otherwise.... I guess Bols' wife had a harem if we include Syura and Enshin along with Bols.

Why do I love Tatsumi so much? It's pretty simple when I think about it. Tatsumi isn't just the best character in the series, he might just be the greatest character of all time. Just imagine him walking through the Empire, all the ladies swoon at his very scent. They know how he smells, the essence of his smell is sold under the name of Night Raid Orgasm. The very nature of Tatsumi is a mystery. Could he be playing a deeper game than even his master realizes? The answer is yes, he has transcended such boundaries as the written world, and has free will to do whatever he sees fit. However, Tatsumi is filled with such guile, such arcane swordsmanship that he does not even use these powers. Why, you might ask? You will never know, for the mind of the Tatsumi is not one that is easily penetrated. Tatsumi is such a force of nature in his realm that nothing can truly touch him, the only thing keeping him bound to the page at all is his will to exist within the preordained boundaries of his world. Tatsumi is not only beyond the comprehension of us, he exists within a plane of true focus and beauty. Observe his playful smile, his gorgeous and luscious brown hair, his ultimately prepubescent penor, his creative swordsmanship, and most importantly, his eyes. His eyes, like pools of green emerald, provide the only glimpse into the true ascendance of Tatsumi. Do not stare into them. Many good women have gone mad in the attempt. Tatsumi is not just a character, a formless collection of words and images, he is himself is the binding that holds the saga together. Without Tatsumi, the entire series, the entire world of Akame ga Kill as we know it crumbles.

These are one of the few reason I like Tatsumi.

No, you ass. Stop trying to copy the Syura speech. That Tatsumi speech is like what manhwa is to manga. A weak attempt at a copy which was made in China.

Not "harem" in a true sense of the word, but if you ever read actual harem mangas, in them most females want to be involved with the MC somehow, when only a few truly love him. It's just that they gravitate towards him... And Tatsumi is still a teenager, by the way.

Thankfully it's not the main point of AgK though.

First time serious on this account; here it goes, I will give my 2 cents on this matter.

I agree with you, seimei, on there being a sense of a harem sequence evolving, but you have to realise that most of these candidates will eventually die; Mine being the prime example with the brutal foreshadowing, and you really should expect Esdeath to follow, because she seems to be prime position to kill Mine and Tatsumi would kill her in vengeance. These characters are there to actually just lead more character development in Tatsumi, not to serve as long term citizens in the manga. The only character that has perhaps "solidified" herself in this manga is Akame, yet she has shown no romantic interest in Tatsumi. As for your concern about Dorothea, yet again she hasn't actually shown any romantic interest in Tatsumi like AC said, only lust for his blood and that does not necessarily mean her feelings will develop because this series doesn't have a certain chronological order as other harems do.
