Using those as example. If he can cut to whatever it faced, why stop there?

Him being able to cut through those things doesn't mean he can cut through anything. Him cutting through flesh and bones doesn't mean that he can cut through everything.

The difference here is that its supported with its spirit priority
Which you are misinterpreting to be some form of intangibility.

And what about the term spiritual? Wouldn't that support its matter?

The meaning of the term "spiritual" doesn't mean that the sword would be intangible either.

Ghastly, incorporeal. Terms like that would support your argument, but Yata can't be incorporeal since it does have a physical form, as shown when it cut the snakes and pierced Orochimaru.

Why doesn't because having no real physical form mean that it can't phase through Susanoo? When we have seen visual examples of ethereal jutsu and spiritual jutsu capability? Which makes it as valid?

No real physical form doesn't mean that it doesn't have a physical form, that's what. No real physical form means that it simply doesn't have a set physical form. Water has no real physical form, it takes the form of its container. Totsuka is liquid that pours out of the gourd and forms a blade.

The definitions of ethereal and spiritual don't indicate that something that is either of these things can't be touched. Especially when we've seen that Totsuka is a physical, corporeal object.

Examining

The meaning of the term "spiritual" doesn't mean that the sword would be intangible either.

Then ill use incorporeal, since this definition follows Totsuka's statement of not having a real physical form.

As for your reasoning as to why you still don't think so: No one said it doesn't have one. The manga still backs it up that its not truly physical. Its physical so it can touch and effect the physical. If its pure non physical/spiritual then it won't touch anything and just pass by.

No real physical form doesn't mean that it doesn't have a physical form, that's what.No real physical form means that it simply doesn't have a set physical form. Water has no real physical form, it takes the form of its container. Totsuka is liquid that pours out of the gourd and forms a blade.

I feel like the bold is supporting my claims as to why it bypasses Susanoo w/ a cutting process.

Underline: Thats example is not the same comparison as water is still from the physical world while the item was stated to be metaphysical.

Italic: Totsuka is not literally liquid.

The definitions of ethereal and spiritual don't indicate that something that is either of these things can't be touched. Especially when we've seen that Totsuka is a physical, corporeal object.

Thats the purpose of ethereal and spiritual ability in Naruto verse. They have incorporeal abilities/advantage while the physical cant do nothing to it.

If Totsuka can pierce Susanoo he wins if not he loses via Madara outlasting him. However if this was Edo Itachi vs MS Madara Itachi would win low difficulty.

Except "Not having a real physical form"=/="being incorporeal"

As for your reasoning as to why you still don't think so: No one said it doesn't have one. The manga still backs it up that its not truly physical. Its physical so it can touch and effect the physical. If its pure non physical/spiritual then it won't touch anything and just pass by.

The bold is exactly what happened in the manga. It touched and affected the physical when it stabbed Orochimaru and blood came out, when it cut the Hydra's heads and when it pierced Nagato. Its not spiritual, incorporeal or non physical as Susanoo can hold the weapon, and because of the above reasons.

The manga doesn't back up Totsuka being a sword that can phase through anything at will.

I feel like the bold is supporting my claims as to why it bypasses Susanoo w/ a cutting process.

It doesn't. It states that the sword is a physical object, meaning it will have to cut through Susanoo and it won't phase through, but it doesn't have a set physical form, it goes from a liquid like form to a blade, back to a liquid like form when its out of use.

Underline: Thats example is not the same comparison as water is still from the physical world while the item was stated to be metaphysical.
It wasn't stated to be metaphysical, it was said to have no real physical form, meaning it doesn't have a set physical form.

of or relating to things that are thought to exist but that cannot be seen
That is what metaphysical is, we can see Totsuka, so its not metaphysical.

Italic: Totsuka is not literally liquid.

Whatever it is, it doesn't have the shape of a blade.

Thats the purpose of ethereal and spiritual ability in Naruto verse. They have incorporeal abilities/advantage while the physical cant do nothing to it.

Evidence for this claim?

Wow, Itachi is seriously underrated. I made a post called "KCM Naruto vs MS Madara" and everybody said that Naruto would WRECK Madara in a short amount of time, yet Itachi, whom is superior to Naruto in almost every way, would lose to MS Madara? Underrating at its finest.

KCM Naruto would wreck Itachi even worse than he would wreck Madara.

Show me either a manga scan that proves that
OR
Tell me 5 feats that prove that KCM Naruto would beat Itachi.

Itachi's Susano'o > Madara's Susano'o

Evidence for this claim?

Imma just focus on the evidence itself.

1. I pretty much post it against Shikimaru[ ][ ][ ].

2. Soul Dragon from Gezo[ ], hitting the ground (physical) but also had the ability to bypass human flesh (also physical) and continue, while eating their soul/life/chakra[ ].

3. Dan[ ] who needed barrier ninjutsu to counter spirit techniques.

With your logic wouldn't Totsuka be able to seal the earth? The fact that it cut's physical objects shows it is a physical (as in not intangible) weapon. When it Pierced Oru it didn't go through him with no damage like the scans you are posting, it which shows it has to be able to Pierce said target. To make it simpler It shouldn't had even made a hole let alone blood pop out of Oru's chest. Moral is that it still has to be able to breach the target the traditional way (manga shows it) to seal it. Not some fanmade "it's intangible" notion when it is fact it does physical damage and had to breach Oru like a traditional object would.

A Intangible object would have simply went straight through with out making a hole, then proceed to seal. And regarding the "Soul dragon", it is a sealing tech aka Chakra related and not a spirit tech according to the databook.

There are certain scans I'd like to post to help EjBlack out. I 'll do so after I come from watching Guardians of the Galaxy.

TMNT has been released yet, and even if it were, I would watch both of them on the same day.

I thought both came out Friday? Anyways, how was GOTG?

I'm in the theater right now with my mobile phone, waiting for the movie to start in about 30 minutes.

Taking the earth and sealing it will be called a no limit fallacy. I am not making that comparison. What I compare it to is the ethereal and spiritual jutsu shown in the manga, which can act both physical and intangible.

The reasoning of using Soul Dragon in comparison is reasonable. As they are both sealing techs

MS Itachi is a tier above MS Madara.

There is no evidence stating MS Madara had Susanoo. Because when he awakened EMS, he then first showed the Susanoo. Just to clear that up.

KCM Naruto could take on Alive Itachi with slight difficulties...
