Plot or no?

During the battle against the juubi why didn't anyone use the summoning technique to combat such a huge foe? Also when kurama faced off against the other tailed beast why didn't Naruto summon some toads to assist, like plot is strong. I guess kishi didn't want to overwhelm the enemy LoL

Just imagine 1000+ summonings vs juubi, it'd be an all out smackfest.


Edit: To the people keeps saying team 7 did, i already know! I'm talking when the juubi first emerged, before countless were slaughtered. The majority of the SA surely had contracts, yet no one summoned anything.

Summonings actually aren't very common among ninja, and even if they are, they are usually minor summonings such as ninken, not to mention a Bijuudama would wreck the likes of Gamabunta and Manda.

Team 7 used their summons, the other people of the fodder alliance may not have had summons. Also a juubi tbb should destroy any summon they could've summoned. Although it would've at least made the juubi seem more threatening, if there was a huge battle with summons.

They aren't the only ones with huge summons, also don't understimate the little guys. Remember when hiruzens enma tossed kurama out the village LoL

Well plot allowed Naruto,bee,guy & kakashi to survive it until SA arrived.

Toads can fight Kurama yes, but look at the size of that thing it dwarfs Kurama! Every attack Kurama has is just scaled majorly for the Shinju.

Humans are even smaller & more fragile yet kishi decided to let them fight as such.
