Yeah, I like it because they both look so cute and innocent in it. :bouncy: It portrays their brother relationship pretty well imo and shows us their happier days.

Well, happy days for Sasuke at least, considering that even back in those days Itachi was in Anbu and a double spy...his life was stressful even back then. But I definitely would say that those days were happier days for Itachi too, considering that having a good time with your brother for the few limited moments when he wasn't busy doing what he had to do beats being in solitude in the remaining 7 years of your life while being hated by everyone and disgraced.

I'm sorry. XD I just caused this conversation to take a sad turn from the joyous one it was at originally, but I just felt like throwing that out there. And know it could take a sadder turn when you look at the next spoiler. :/

Just saw these gifs for when Itachi reacted to Shisui jumping off that cliff and committing suicide. I know that this may seem like a dead topic (because the Kakashi Anbu arc is over & we all stopped discussing it a while ago) and it's not a happy one to bring up, but I just saw them this morning and felt the need to post them.

As we know, he didn't actually say that. It was more like "Shisui, don't" and then Shisui jumped as Itachi reached out in the second gif and had that look of horror on his face while saying nothing. He wasn't concerned about the Uchiha/Konoha mess at that specific moment obviously (moreso directly about his best friend being in pain and losing his life), but later on in the arc we see him pondering the correct choice to make and asking Kakashi about the promise he has to keep for Obito, so I feel that these two gifs represent a little of the desperation Itachi felt with the situation he was in after Shisui's death.

I agree with you, I think they were happy days for both Sasuke and Itachi, even though Itachi was still leading the double life. You’re right, any moment Itachi could spare probably went to Sasuke, and I bet Itachi enjoyed every second of it. <3

No, but the sentiment is definitely there. Itachi didn’t say that, yet it’s not like he didn’t value Shisui or anything (of COURSE he valued Shisui). It was probably because Itachi had to really learn to control his emotions as a member of ANBU. That’s the reason he didn’t yell or cry out when he reached for Shisui, except for Shisui’s name. ;_; Yeah, it seems that he focused everything on Shisui and forgot about the mess. Very true! The gifs really do.

Well, I just stated that he didn't think of the mess at that specific moment and think "Wait, I cannot do this alone". He was more focused on Shisui, which is a good thing. It would seem a little off if he didn't. He looked more like "Oh no. I just lost my best friend." Which is why I stated the text in the gifs probably represented what he thought sometime afterwards, not at that specific moment. It's plainly evident that he valued Shisui. He yelled for him to stop and attempted to grab him. The look on his face said it all as well, he was horrified and it looked like absolute despair. He doesn't need to cry or yell out anything more, the way he reacted was enough to know how he felt. Also, I think that if something like that occurs, that it makes more sense for the individual to be speechless out of shock as well, which I think is what happened in the case of Itachi. He also has to hide his emotions as you said due to being in Anbu.

But just imagine how painful that is. Those two were the only ones in the Uchiha clan who shared those ideals. We also know that in this series, best friends mean alot and Itachi stated that he looked at Shisui as he would an older brother. Itachi losing Shisui is like Sasuke losing Naruto or Naruto losing Sasuke. That's got to hurt.

The only difference here is that I feel that both Shisui and Itachi are more mentally mature than Naruto and Sasuke, so they can handle alot more. Even though both Naruto/Sasuke have matured alot throughout the course of Shippuden, I still don't think that they are more mature than those two were. Definitely not Itachi at least. Itachi is the type to accept bad circumstances but continue moving because he knows that dwelling on them will get him nowhere.

I actually agree with that. They had a way of thinking that differs vastly from Naruto and Sasuke in maturity. So yeah, they could handle a lot more. They certainly have, but yeah, true that. Especially Itachi, since we didn’t learn as much as we could have about Shisui. But yes, he is and he will.
