Meaning when He was dubbed "the professor" he could use all the jutsu of konoha ninja that existed that time. That's what it says. Not that he knows every jutsu in konoha. Itachi ,Madara, Hashirama etc etc were not alive or operational in Konoha when he was given this title in his prime

The yata mirror itself isn't overrated. What's overrated is Itachi himself. His stamina while alive was shitty so he can't maintain his v4 susanoo with the spiritual items for long, hence he isn't as powerful as his fapboys claim to be.

I like Itachi, he was actually one of the best characters written by Kishi, however giving him These two sacred weapons without proper introduction or setting limit on them or at least no stating that they have no weakness allowed wild fapboys to wank and fap other him being Solo King/Solo God and so on that it destroyed his image in my eyes and I like him much less now. It simple made Itachi broken character which is sad.

Actually I don't see Itachi being able to stop Juubi's TBB with his Yata Mirror in opposite to fanboys which claim that shit. The Juubi, Kagyua or Sage could be defnietly above Yata Mirror or Totsuka Blade unless on of them or some Kami was stated to create them.

It may be due to me being Dragon ball fan so I am fan of Power level advancing along with plot moving forward. In shot I am fan of abc logic, so it is simple and easy to know who is better or that someone with lower power level can not affect someone with bigger power level. It maybe that I don't understand how hax work...

But by hype, Yata matches the properties of the attack coming at it...therefore it would be evenly matched and the attack neutralized.

I agree with everything that you stated. Itachi isn't going against Kaguya and her family or Goku, lol. xD He cannot even hold the weapons up long due to his stamina/sickness. But even if he was healthy and could hold them up for as long as he wanted to, he wouldn't beat them at all.

But @bold, Totsuka blade was brought back with Itachi. Yata didn't make an appearance however, or at least wasn't used.

I agree that susanno could have been enough for his trump card, and that the weapons were a little over-the-top. But as for them being a plot hole or Itachi being a broken character, I don't consider them to be. Itachi read alot about the shinobi world's/village's history & even went on missions alone from an early age and is quite intelligent, if someone had to have found them, it might as well be him. And if Kishimoto just felt like giving someone hax weapons like that, it might as well be Itachi considering that he was in his last battle & about to die anyway. xD

As for the fanboys, well I see that you've joined this forum in 2012. I just joined this year, so obviously I haven't had the same encounters with his fanbase as you have (therefore I may seem like a hypocrite for saying this, so I apologize in advance). But every popular character has fans like that. Some Minato fanboys say that he can FTG to the moon and I saw a thread just a few days ago saying he was a "solo god". There are also plenty of threads for Madara saying he's a "solo god". I wouldn't take any of that seriously. People just like to troll. But please don't let it cause you to like a character less (and I know that it is really hard not to, considering how annoying it is), because those fans are not true fans. They just like making people annoyed or angry. They are not directly affiliated with Itachi. The only thing you can judge his character on is...well, him. Not what a bunch of loons on a forum site say about him.

It can't really be a plothole, until it's contradicted. More or less it's poor writing, and Kishi simply scrapped Yata after the 1 chapter it was introduced.

Then again, Old Hiruzen may just be significantly weaker, even if he's an edo.

As an old man he is capable of stalemating the buddha, he also did push the 9 tails out of the village with 1 attack.

Prime Hiruzen was never shown. So he may still very well be the strongest.

Also, why would Madara not know about it? For some reason he knows everyone and everything right now and I'm sure Obito told him about their fight and that Itachi has those weapons.

I just pointed out the fact that Sasuke did not have them, because him having them would be the only way they would be relevant to the series again. But once again, Itachi is dead, meaning that Yata Mirror and Totsuka blade have no meaning as of now...and they most likely will not. The perfect chance for Sasuke to get them would be when Itachi was an Edo. Instead that didn't happen, and the brothers had some closure instead. They are not ever going to be mentioned again nor are they going to be discredited. But that doesn't really matter, considering that even if the hype does stand, the only user Itachi cannot hold them up forever and he can just be outlasted by other opponents who have better stamina.

-On the point of whether or not Madara knows about them, I just said if he didn't. But you did bring up and interesting point and Obito did watch the Itachi vs Sasuke fight after Zetsu recorded it. However, black zetsu is Madara's will and he is the one who stated that as long as Itachi holds those weapons up, he's "invincible" (which I forgot about). Madara definitely knows about them.

But once again, even if that is true and they are "invincible", Itachi has terrible stamina and cannot maintain a full version of susanno for a long time. Also, even if the weapons are that good, they can still be bypassed, so it still doesn't matter. Like when Gaara pulled Madara out of his susanno with his sand. Itachi's susanno doesn't even have legs, at least we've never seen it with any. He could be pulled out of his susanno. Or a kamui user could just enter the susanno from the side that Yata is not covering. There are alot of ways to get around those weapons.
