So you admit the manga can disprove things stated? So why can it not disprove Yata?

That moment when you look at all the comments, and you notice that people aren't making valid arguments.

This thread isn't about Itachi's stamina. Obviously, against a top-tier opponent, with the stamina he has and the fact he was sick, he isn't holding them up long.

However, this thread isn't about Itachi himself. It's about the weapons, who's hype has been maintained in every appearance they've had. Unless you can find a manga scan where they've failed, there aren't any excuses against them. I cannot really see what problem people have with them anyway. They're gone and never coming back, anyone with common sense realizes this. So in effect they will always have that hype and not be discredited...which hardly matters considering the only user died back in ch 393.

I agree completely. Yata Mirror can block every attack until proven otherwise.
It can, however, be bypassed entirely. With Kamui and Bracken Dance for example.

It's true Yata Mirror's power was yet to be disproved yet we didn't see any feat from it except stopping Sasuke.

It's like the Prime Hiruzen hype. Prime Hiruzen hype was not really disproved at all. It had been stated in the manga that Hiruzen was the strongest in his prime. Yet we didn't see his feats in his prime.

Although Edo Hiruzen indirectly admitted that Edo Hashirama is lots stronger than him, but it was an old Edo Hiruzen. Still, that didn't really disprove Prime Hiruzen hype.

Just pointing this out because I can...

Nowhere on the scan you posted does it say that raikiri can cut through anything.

There is no defense possible against kamui. If it's working on you, then either you use FTG, or you're done. However, FTG is not classified as a defense.

Neither hype is disproven here.

As for Obito's statement, there is a downside to everything. Just because nothing has been proven to be able to get through Yata, does not mean one cannot just bypass it, that's a downside. Just like for kamui, if you keep out of the user's range of eye-sight, you're fine.

You are wrong. Kamui is a defence against kamui. Hence the minute Obito blocked kamui with his own kamui, the hype was disproven.
