I love how people try to put common sense in to Naruto and say "how can Yata possibly stop this or that.", or "Anyone who says Yata is as good as its stated to be is just an Itachi fan boy".

The burden of proof is on you Yata haters, you have to prove Yata's faults/weakness, otherwise it stands firm, and you have no way of saying it can't stop this or that. Love when people use the manga factually, but at the same time try to take away from it to strengthen their arguments.

Inb4 someone says: Well the manga stated that Hiruzen was the strongest of all hokages. Well the manga disproved that 600 chapters later by showing Hashirama Senju's power + he was the only one going toe to toe with Madara while Hiruzen did nothing.

Yata mirror on the other hand is yet to be disproved. #rantover.

The yata mirror itself isn't overrated. What's overrated is Itachi himself. His stamina while alive was shitty so he can't maintain his v4 susanoo with the spiritual items for long, hence he isn't as powerful as his fapboys claim to be.

Just let them. There's nothing to discredit those weapons and Madara's will (black zetsu) said that Itachi was invincible with them up for a reason. U_U If they cannot handle it, then there's nothing more to say.

-Note: However, there's also a reason that Kishimoto gave Itachi those hax weapons. Itachi was sick and dying, in his last battle. Those weapons are never going to be seen again and Yata didn't even make an appearance when Itachi was an Edo.

Ppl need to realize that plot will always happen and that's not even a bad thing. A lot of stuff gets claimed in this manga all the time and stuff gets stomped all the time, for plot progression's sake. Same will happen to Yata mirror - if Kishi decides to pick it up again, chances are we won't see it again. Why? Idk, I just hope he leaves it be because it creates plot holes left and right, but it's Kishi we're talking about.
