Hidden Village of the Sand - The weakest village?

Considering that they couldn't kill a baby Gaara.

If the Sand Village had someone on par with Kakashi, Gai, Itachi, etc., Gaara would've been killed long ago.

Thinking about it, only Gaara and his siblings stand out. There literally isn't anyone that impressive from that village.

Yeah I agree, but seeing how they are in the desert with all that sand they are guarded well. It is also very hard to find it if you are not from there.

Nah, the village size is comparatively smaller than others, that's why it is considered to be weak besides that, i don't feel its a weak village, why ? Because the 3rd kazekage later turned into sasori's puppet was considered to be one of the strongest shinobi of all, which implies that village is not weak as it is considered, got it

1) Sasori died and also left the village for the akatsuki, he is no longer a Sand Shinobi
2) The kazekage died in a very noob way , which is being kidnapped by Sasori and killed to be made into a puppet and also he died
3)Chiyo died

They may have noteworthy ninja in the past , but now , they do not have a decent candidate to the Kage title anymore

Sasori and Chiyo. Baki was probably meant to be badass considering he killing Hayate, being the sand siblings sensei and Genma almost fighting with him, but Kishimoto's editors and publishers probably forced him to cut him out of everything, like they did with Hidan.

i think its mainly because kishi didnt build upon the villages to much and they havent exactly had much spotlight

considering the powerscaling in part 1 Gaara was a very powerful child the sand naturally defended him anyways which would make it hard for anyone to pull off an assasination without getting spotted

i really wish kishi built upon more than just the main characters

In the second fanbook (made by Kishi) Suna has 2/5 in military strenght, the lowest score so yeah, and they also have the all around lower score (economic, military, population size)

Kumo is the all around most powerfull village if you want to know (and they are also better then Konoha at military strenght)

No being Kazekage means you are the strongest in your village of shiniobis not all the shiniobi in NV. He was the strongest Kazekage compared to all the other ones.

They once had hanzo.

And there were shinobi that could wound young Nagato/Konan/Yahiko.

That was a pretty decent feat.

There were shinobi cable of pushing Nagato to use the Gedo Mazou , which was not bad
