I'd say Itachi was mentally stronger considering all he had to do.

But yes, Sasuke has shown great mental strength in regards to all he had to go through and still find his way back to the 'right' path. He went through alot (but let's hope he stays on the right path too).

Ohh, I like Sasuke but Kakashi has this one. Sasuke came mentality got a little twisted from the time of fighting Killer Bee to when he saw Naruto again after killing Danzo. Other then that, he's very strong mentally.

Sasuke is definitely emotionally mature, however not as much as Itachi (he is the most emotionally mature in Naruto); he was burdened with the task of having to kill all of his kin whilst merely a teenager, executed it well, had to leave his beloved village and younger brother, and was labelled as an outcast thereafter, yet he never became insane/evil, and still did much to help the ninja of Naruto.​

Sasuke is a boss in my opinion and hes not even my favorite character. He went through seeing his family murdered for 72 hours straight in a split second. He spent 3 days in hell stood back up strong and worked towards his goal. Then when he saw itachi again he was subjected to the exact same hell just alot more intense.

Any normal person would have commited suicide or become a serial killer or worse.
