Real geniuses like Itachi and Kakashi make Sasuke look like a straight up fool.

Itachi was better at Katon/shuriken jutsu when they were both children, he graduate the Academy faster, mastered his Sharingan sooner, and led ANBU at the same age Sasuke was just making genin.

Kakashi was also better. He graduated the Academy at what, 5? And was jounin at 13? He even invented his own jutsu and was leading serious war missions.

Then all of his non-genius decisions. He got his lunch eaten by Rock Lee because he was overconfident, yet Neji was whipping Lee and he's a genius. Then Sasuke got trumped by Lord Gaara and had to resort to Curse Mark power, but still failed. Then Naruto's Rasengan blew Chidori out of the water on the hospital.

Then he heedlessly attacked the Five Kage Summit and got rolled by everybody in attendance, Killer Bee killed him (twice), Madara called one of his strongest attacks pitiful when Sasuke charged out of nowhere. Then he shoved his katana through his own heart and he died. Deidara was a high diff fight for Sasuke and Danzo would've neg diff'd Sauce with KA, but Danzo had to save it and chakra. Wasn't even a fair fight and he still had trouble.

Some genius. Shino is way smarter.

When if comes to intellect, Sasuke isn't even top 10, and to our knowledge, neither is Indra. In the NV, "genius" usually isn't used to refer to intelligence at all.

Genius, as in intelligence? Yes and no. He's bright, but not when compared to someone like Skikamaru.

The word genius can be labeled by different aspects. The way you are using genius is for a person's intelligence, their ability to gather, retain, and pally the knowledge a person has. But you can judge someone to be a genius in any aspect.

Michael Jordan may not be a genius in Quantum physics and he's a genius in the sport of basketball. If you judged a fish's intelligence based on it's ability to climb a tree, you'll think that fish is an idiot. But if you judge its intelligence on its ability to swim, you'll think that fish is a genius. The metaphor applies here: Sasuke is a genius in the sense of battle and fighting. He's not a book smart genius.

Considering that Shikamaru looked up to the guy, Orochimaru called his own genius pitiful before his, Jiraiya referred to him as a Natural Prodigy, Lee called him a Genius that surpasses the imagination, Kakashi called him a Genius and an extremely talented individual, Chee called him a rare genius - it kinda renders whatever you say void and nothing but your own concocted story.
