He took on Hashirama and Tobriama at 30% of their power, as well as Orochimaru, at 68 years old, and won.

Despite Enma saying he was "miserable" compared to his prime.

He was the strongest Kage at the time of his death, and was said to be the strongest Hokage ever produced.

Both Naruto, who was a perfect host, and Sasuke, who has Blaze release and a EMS marveled at his sheer abilities.

He saved Naruto from the God Tree when Tobriama and Minato were freaking out as his chakra was being absorbed.

And he is currently the only Hokage that was brought back, that is left able to fight properly in the war.

I agree with what you're saying, but I disagree with the details.

Where did this "30% power" thing come from? We really have no idea how powerful they were, since Kishimoto is INCREDIBLY vague about it. Were they not as strong? Slower? What? They had infinite chakra and regeneration, and they clearly still retained their intellect and jutsus. The Anbu also said that it was a Kage-level battle, so they weren't weak. Remember though that a Kage-level battle in pt.1 is different from pt.2 because of the power inflation, and to keep things in perspective, the Orochimaru that fought KN4 was WEAKER than the Orochimaru that fought Hiruzen.

I'd also argue that the Hokage are actually weaker now than they were against Hiruzen. When Orochimaru placed those fuda to erase their personalities and make them completely obedient, it also made the resurrection more complete and increased their power.

Kishi never said that Nagato is stronger than Kiba. So Kiba > Nagato?

I would love to see positive critism, these are all my opinion btw i might forget some Ninja or list might not be overall correct (no one's is correct, they are all opinions)

I didn't dissect the whole thing, but some that stuck out to me were:

1. Jiraiya's placement. He's stated to be in the same league as Nagato and Itachi, but is ranked under them? In fact, you rank him near Kisame, whom said that Jiraiya is a completely different league than himself.

2. Are you referring to old Hiruzen and old Hanzo? At least for the latter, Pein said himself that Hanzo lost because he became rusty.

3. Are you ranking characters with or without Edo Tensei? (Tobirama, Orochimaru, Kabuto)

4. Why is Bee so high?

5. Kakuzu should be a tier higher...

I can only give my opinion on how I feel of who may be stronger than who, as I have done. ^_^ Kishi can wake up tomorrow and decide Kiba>Nagato, and even though some may have...before that thought Nagato>Kiba....they cannot refute what Kishi says.

So until Kishi makes certain characters above others official... everything is an opinion concerning those characters. For example Kishi has said that Madara holds more power as the Juubi jin than Obito....had he not made that official, we could just as easily say "I feel Obito is stronger" . So my apologies, but I cannot answer that question.....only say, or show how I feel. I hope this explanation is sufficient enough. >_O

Kishi doesn't have to say who's stronger. You have the feats of those characters. Naruto is clearly superior.

1/Shounen rules: Not true...but I agree that he will. Son of Ogre is a Shounen Manga....Baki is the Mangas main character and in the end he was still seen as an infant compared to the antagonist. Even after years of the most excruciating training..... Though I agree it is how you say more often than not, just not always. >_O

It is only said that he will, however far into the future... surpass Madara. Not that he is intruding on the level of power Madara holds. It cannot be the case as....after that was said Madara easily defeated him without effort.

II. I agree they are two sides of a coin. They are generally the same in power imo.

Well Tobirama killed Izuna, whom was close to Madara's power. He has also encountered Amaterasu before. He should likely be higher.

Jiraiya was stated to be in the same league as Nagato and Itachi.

Are you rating old Hiruzen and old Hanzo, not their primes?

I'm a little surprised that you put Bee so high above 3rd Raikage, particularly since 3rd Raikage fought Gyuuki to a draw.

Those are the only ones that stand out the most to me, the others are always debatable.

Oh, and Kakuzu should be higher.

I actually agree with you 100% there. Although admittingly the manga has started devolving into DBZ-lite, it's view of "power" was always vastly different. Match-ups, intelligence, environment, even circumstances, all play(ed) large roles in battles and their outcomes. It's this aspect that helped draw me to the series to begin with. And really, that is what to me makes these rankings so dubious and a little redundant. I agree more with grouping characters into a tiering system, similar to how Kishimoto does (Kage, Jonin, Chuunin, Genin).

I don't recall the chapter, but I recall the implications meaning that Sasuke was on his way to Madara's level. Even then, they didn't say he had to reach Itachi's level and then reach Madara's level, and it's the end of the manga so Madara is his next step.
