Perhaps it had to do with oro not showing his killing intent like he did with Kakashi. Sasuke apparently knew he wouldn't win but he never was forced to witness his own death.

Im failing to understand what you are trying to convey.

You say Kakashi shit his pants? But he clearly tells Orochimaru that if he comes close to Sasuke one of them would die here. So even if he did feel fear, it would not have hindered his actions.

Kakashi also knows who Orochimaru is and what he is capable of. Sasuke did not know who Orochimaru was, and as a result he didn't have fear through past experience/knowledge, but still clearly felt the immense fear of just being in his presence.

Not that this has anything to do with the actual fight because I doubt Kid Kakashi and Kid Sasuke would be afraid to fight each other.

Kid kakashi takes this. His base speed is equal or greater than that of weightless Lee(unlike le sauce who only achieves such speeds through chakra bursts/body flicker).

And he's a jounin.
Sasuke at that point is barely chunin.

How about you post the scans where he pulls out the raikiri as soon as he sees Orochimaru and says one of us will die here if you come closer to Sasuke?

It was only after he left that he said he was an idiot for saying he could compete with him. Does that mean he would have been too scared to try to kill Orochimaru if he made a move? No.

Again. Sasuke did not know Orochimaru so it's easy for you to say he 'overcame fear' but really he was just ignorant to his opponent.

Kakashi knew Orochimaru and what he could do, and was only "shitting his pants" when Orochimaru left. His fear did not and would not hinder his ability to act accordingly had Orochimaru made a move toward Sasuke.

I'm denying the manga, but you say with no backup whatso ever that his raikiri was an empty threat?
You say that he never stood a chance to move, again with no back up at all.

Kakashi was guarding Sasuke, why would he move?

He knew he couldn't kill Orochimaru at that time, so what point would it be to attack him and get killed?

And again it does matter. Kakashi was not afraid in the sense that he ran across some random ninja that put the fear of death in him, he was against Orochimaru, whom he knows as one of the Legendary Sannin and one of the most deadly characters in the series at that point.

Sasuke was afraid to the point where he physically had to hurt himself just to get his mind off of the fear, in his mind to some random ninja. He overcame it because he had to protect his teammate.

The same way Kakashi would have done anything to protect Sasuke at that point.

The rest is irrelevant. As I keep saying, my whole point was to strengthen Sasuke's fearlessness and resolve as a ninja. His feats - repeatedly posted - far outclass Kid-Kakashi's and that's that. The rest is just flip-flopping in my book.

Your manga scans don't show what you are trying to say they show.

That's what Im trying to tell you. They make no mention of Kakashi being frozen or anything. As a matter of fact, they had a whole conversation and Kakashi did not express a semblance of 'fear' until Orochimaru basically said he wanted Sasuke's sharingan. At which point Kakashi took precautions to protect his student.

He pulled out raikiri and said even if you are a Sannin the least I could do is compete with you, to which Orochimaru starts to laugh and tells him basically Sasuke will come to him.

The Orochimaru mocks him and he sees his death, and he says Im an idiot for saying I could compete with him because he knows he would get killed.

Where does it say he was frozen? Where does it say he would not have attacked? He even kept his raikiri up until the very last page of their altercation. So to say it was an empty threat when he clearly was on his guard until Orochimaru walks away is ridiculous.

And with the whole feats thing... Kid Kakashi has what? Like one manga chapter dedicated to him compared to Sasuke being a kid through the entirety of part one? That's hardly a fair argument to go with, but I do recognize the rules of the Colosseum.

By feats Sasuke wins, but it's mostly by default and absence of evidence of Kakashi's part.
