Well, that's because people prefer console gaming more.Have anyone of you wonder why Sony PS Vita is dropping it prices just days after it was released?

No, but I'm pretty certain the time of Consoles is not over yet.Have you seen "Injustice: Gods Among Us" of I-Pad? ..
didn't read further when u said android gonne take over.
Yeah, soon androind/apple phones can play GTA 5 on line with previous consoles. Get out of here, it will never surpass consoles. Not even Wii u which is shitty
the day phones take over consoles is the day i give up on humanity
how dare you, wii u is not shit its a fantastic console which companies and gamers should put some faith into the game pad is an excellent controler which can make gameplay that so much better
Considering the fact that GTA SA pushed the utmost limit of the ps2, with reduced draw distance, and mutiple graphical gliches were notable even on the ps2, which apparently were unnoticeable while on PC, is now purchasable on iPhone, heck, even supports iPad 2 with added visual lightning effects, and textures are rather smoothed, can be easily played, perfectly on the iPad 3 and above. Wouldn't be surprised if in the Fututre more advanced games will be developed, but saying to the point that handheld will evolve better generation of gaming then consoles, Is just wrong.
So as you can see, a 2004 ps2 game has eventually made it to mobiles and tablets, but still remains far from challenging HD generation or next generation graphic intensed games to be run on mobile devices, so it's far from saying handheld will turn out as a better source then consoles, when they can't keep pace with the game requirements, so not neccasarily, console gaming is still way superior, PC gaming is even more superior, I still remember back in 2004 when GTA SA was out and people use to say, "wow such an awesome game, it's like so expensive and blah blah" asking me have you played the game, nand talking about how cool and features it offered, people really wanted to buy and play that game at that time, now look, it's on my damn iPad. ****ing rapid progression of technology. Lol

This terrible logic smh.
Gaming is a billion dollar industry, are you really telling me that a 7 or so dollar game can compete with a 400-500 dollar console with games at $60 bucks each?
Not to mention the huge, huge fanbase that the companies in the gaming industry have created with loyal die hard fans.
This theory is beyond silly.
Yes, it is true and I am one of those fan.
This theory might seems a little bit shadowy because android games is still at its infancy. Android games has it own upgrades, where players has to buy coins, items or tools to progress. PC gaming will stood the test of time just like the pyramids, but I am not too sure of the gaming consoles.
Sega has fallen, who's next?
