No Sleep Vs. Few Hours Of Sleep

I'm staring at the clock while on my bed and it's 4am right now. I have to get up at 6am. What do you do in situations like this? Would you sleep the few hours or just pull an all-nighter?

any sleep is better then no sleep, one trick i use often is to wake up 15 minutes before i actully need to wake up. then i just lay in bad half awake and after 15 minutes you wake up more refreshed and ready.

but for the future, try and sleep as much as your body needs. our brain functions worse on less sleep.

If you want to stay awake today: No sleep.

If you want to wake up groggy and spend the day needing more sleep: go to sleep

You can run all day on just a little bit of sleep, sometimes more than after a long nights sleep. No sleep and youll be passing out halfway through the day xD

Sleep is good but it feels terrible trying to wake up after falling into deep sleep. I could just have caffine in the morning to keep going after an all-nighter but then I'll crash mid day. Argg many choices but little time.

I have to go to school. And sit at a desk all day there - thats the part I have to avoid falling asleep in.

Usually I would agree with everyone else: some sleep is FAR better than no sleep, especially if you need to be awake and aware all day the following day (I've been in the exact same situation as you far more times than I like to admit). However, with that being said it really depends on what kind of sleeper you are. For me, if Im awake at night and need to get up in a few hours, chances are that if I go to sleep I'm going to wake up late as I'll just sleep right through my alarms. If your not a rock solid sleeper though, then I'd absolutely get the few hours sleep, but if you are like me and you know that when your out, your out, I'd stay up and stock up on things like energy drinks and caffeinated drinks to last you through the day until you can get proper sleep.

i find no sleep you do what you got to do better little sleep is harder for me to do what i need to do

I think it really depends on how long you have been awake. If you have only been awake for say 14-20 hours you should probably stay awake. Anything after that, for me atleast, even a little sleep or short naps will give me more energy than if I just stayed awake. Sometimes it even gives me a lot of energy, like enough to stay awake for 5+hours.

But anyways if you can try and rest your eyes during class too (if you can pay attention that way).

I'm in that can't sleep mode right now as well, basically a lot of important things will be decided tomorrow. I may be moving soon, its a lot..

Though I think little sleep is better it's also harder to wake up from. When you don't get any sleep you're kind of riding this weird momentum to try and stay up, but eventually you just get to that point where you go full retard and cant function correctly.

Sleep is very very important, your body handles a lot of it's internal functions during those hours. But both can work depending on the situation the next day.

Sleeping those 2 hours would make u more tired then actually staying up the whole day just get some heavy caffeine in yeah and last the day and go to bed when u get home you will be fine.

No sleep. I feel shitty as hell if I sleep for a few hours and it makes me wanto to get more sleep. No sleep is definitely better since I don't want to sleep as much as I do when I only sleep for a few hours.​
