Wow! I'm a bigger legend than Naruto o_O
Just kidding, it's a failed summon, a small larvae.

BUUUUUUUT!

It is awesome, because I'm awesome, even the failed summon is not a fail. A larvae can be used for plenty of stuff, especially because, in one turn, it turns into a polyp, and in a second turn, it turns into a medusa. In fact, you can also summon polyps directly, which are failed summons as well.

Neither can use Box Arts (except the Medusa, obviously), and only the polyp has nematocysts (Not as abundant as a medusa).

Ah, not bad!

So polyp and Medusa have nematocysts but not the larvae. Correct?

And when they evolve, do they evolve into a particular Medusa or do 'we' decide what they grow up as xD

No, just the generic medusa that you would be able to summon with the cannon technique. The size of the medusa is proportional to the size of the larvae/polyp.

*Thinks about Medusa till I get an erection*

Okay time to come out you stupid Medusa

*Swipes blood before forming the 5 handseals and placing my palm on the ground to summon...*

Yooooooooo
*A small box appears attached to your leg, hurting painfully before it jumps out to the sea*

Okay, first of all, they're my animals, and I'm handing them to you. You can't treat them wrong, else I will strike you down. Second of all, what are the limits of this technique? In terms of size, powers, appearance, etc.

*Pretends didn't hear*

"Archipelago's Box Jellyfishes have varying heights. Some can be as small as a phalanx from the floater to the tip of the tentacles, while others reach can have floaters as big as elephants, like some Myobokuzan frogs are significantly bigger than normal. "

Their powers? Spewing venom ofc :)

"Their venom, produced by the various nematocysts found in their tentacles, contains a powerful cocktail of hemolytic and neuro toxic enzymes. This venom can be manipulated with chakra, creating something that's similar to water jutsus."

NICE! *I say, in a loud and screeching squeal to your ears*

What jutsus can they use?

I guess, yeah.
( Koukurage Kuchyose no Jutsu: Raiden ) Box Jellyfish Summoning Technique: Mamaragan
Rank: S
Range: Short
Chakra Cost: 40
Damage Points: N/A
Description: The user summons large polyp, with a body the size of an adult man, and a mouth filled with long tentacles. It has Lightning affinity, which give's it's translucent body and tentacles a strong electrical charge reacting automatically to any existing lightning in the surrounding area, up to 15 meters around it, as if it was a lightning rod. This means that while it is in play, for 2 turns, neither the user or the opponent can efficiently preform a lightning jutsu, as it will get pulled and absorbed by Mamaragan. It can absorb 80 chakra, 160 Damage Points of Lightning/Electrical based jutsu. Once the quota is reached, Mamaragan will burst open and expel several (10-20) tiny and light medusas, which are light enough to move through the air, and use small electrical discharges to change direction. This medusas will stay alive for 1 turn, and will produce powerful lightning discharges whenever they come in contact with the opponent, sending out a paralyzing wave which will lock the target's muscles for 1 turn, preventing movement. They fly at a normal pace, as if freely floating in the air currents.
*While in Polyp form, it is able to use its tentacles to move and/or thimble it's way around the field. In Medusa form, the small entities will just be attracted by the opponent's chakra, with no conscientious movement. They will not attack the user or fellow Box Jellyfishes*
*In Polyp form the tentacles can be used to wrap and bind a nearby (short-range) enemy while shocking him on contact (B-Rank) numbing his nerves*
*Absorbing the techniques do not count towards the jutsu count. Releasing the medusas counts as 1 jutsu. The electrical discharges from the medusas have a power equivalent to A rank, but do not count has a different jutsu from their release.
*The Polyp lasts 4 turns. If it reaches the 4 turns or the Lightning Absorption quota, it will release the medusa, if it is forced to vanish, it will not*
*The Medusas will stay on the field for 1 turn, before drying out. They do not contain poison*
*No other Box Jellyfish can be summoned on the field while Mamaragan's Polyp is in play*
*Can only be summoned once per battle*

In Australian Aboriginal mythology, Mamaragan or Namarrkun is a lightning god who speaks with thunder as his voice. He rides a storm-cloud and throws lightning bolts to humans and trees. He lives in a puddle. So I guess this is where he comes from :p

Well, the description says it all. Size of an adult man, so I guess 6 feet tall and around 4 feet in breadth?
Its mouth is filled with long tentacles and it has Lightning affinity, which give's it's translucent body and tentacles a strong electrical charge reacting automatically to any existing lightning in the surrounding area. Mamaragan will burst open and expel several (10-20) tiny and light medusas when it is charged properly.

Question: Does the polyp move? Does it attack the opponent? Does it require water to be summoned?

Not what I asked.

I want you to describe all the limitations of the canon summoning technique, in regards to the cannon contract. How big can a box be, using the C rank summoning technique. How many elements? Where are the Nematocysts? Can they use Box Arts? Can they be summoned anywhere? How long do they stay in battle? Can they speak? How small can they be? How many tentacles? What color?

Size: "Archipelago's Box Jellyfishes have varying heights. Some can be as small as a phalanx from the floater to the tip of the tentacles, while others reach can have floaters as big as elephants, like some Myobokuzan frogs are significantly bigger than normal."

Elements: "The canon Summoning Jutsu calls forth average Archipelago Boxes from varying heights, all venomous and with a random weapon" So I guess canon ones don't have any elements.

Where are the Nematocysts: They are minute, elongated, or spherical capsule produced exclusively by members of the phylum Cnidaria (e.g., jellyfish, corals, sea anemones). Several such capsules occur on the body surface (mostly on the tentacles). They contain a coiled, hollow, usually barbed thread, which quickly turns outward from the capsule upon proper stimulation. The purpose of the thread, which often contains poison, is to ward off enemies or to capture prey.

Can they use Box Arts: Yes

Can they be summoned anywhere: "but require a water source in order to be successful".

How long do they stay in battle: I assume 4 unless it is specified otherwise.

Can they speak: I 'assume' no.

How many tentacles: Again, I 'assume' 2 (normally)

What color: :/

All correct. On this last one, they need water in order to be successful, because they need the structural suport. There is no distinction between sea water and river water, for the purpose of the RP, and they can be used inside Suiton techniques (except, of course, the oil and syrup variations of it, unless stated otherwise (I don't think I have one though lol)).

How long do they stay in battle: I assume 4 unless it is specified otherwise.

Is 4 the restriction for cannon? Ah man, I thought it was indefinitely lol. Correct (I'll search on the restriction though).

Can they speak: I 'assume' no.

Nah, it is cool, have them have like an ethereal voice, like a chakra projection of their consciousness. All for RP purposes.

How many tentacles: Again, I 'assume' 2 (normally)

Nah, it is 4 normally, but you can have pretty much any number of tentacles, as long as you define the amount. If you don't, 4 is the generic.

What color: :/

Lol, have fun. they're all translucent, almost invisible in water. But you can have them have any hue you want. blue, white, black, pink :)

Answers in the quote. Okay, if you don't have any answers, let's start with Mamaragan.

Okay so, it has the generic number of tentacles, so 4. You're about right in the height, each tentacle around 1 meter, 1,5 meters. The polyp moves through tumble, basically, it moves it's mouth/head downwards, touching the ground, and then releases the suction off his foot, basically doing a flip. It's a weird way to move, but it is real lol. So yeah, he can tumble around. He does not require water, the lightning keeps him structurally sound for the short remainder of his stay in battle.

Also, Mamaragan has lightning affinity, same as the tiny medusas, but can't use Lightning techniques. In Polyp form, he can use Box Arts.
