Regarding fanart contest.It seems the rules was recently changed.So its only limited to traditional fanart style.How about making a "new" fanart contest for Digital style(in other word,doujinshi oekaki style xD).Requirements are all similar to traditional art contest,except this time you hv to involve in the use of graphic programs(tablet,adobephotoshop,gimp,paint,corel painter,macromediaflash,etc).But everything must be made manually(as in yours/original,not from stock/download)stuff you need to do; lineart cleaning and coloring(optional),background(optional) and effects(optional)the rule to start the poll is when there is enough submission which the minimum participants = 5.When there isnt enuf participants e.g 3persons,then only one winner will get the prize.If only 1 person participate the contest then it should be cancel and brought down for next month contest

-photo editing skills is all about photo manipulation and not about fanart.This digital fanart contest is all about high definition fanart contest(or should i say,a more advance fanart contest)well you do hv a point there and it just came thru me xD NO COPYING OFF MANGA,EVERYTHING HAS TO BE ORIGINAL.Since people can easily clean the lineart off manga so the rules has to be bit stricten.And like photo editing skills contest,is to show your capability/skill in making quality fanart.
-Digital drawing step 1:draw you 'raw' original lineart using pencil and scan it/capture using camera,or start drawing using tablet or your friendly ol' mouse.Step 2: clean it using graphic program and if possible re-trace the lineart to make it look more cleaner(for some reference,go search for HandBanana artwork in fanart section,altho he only copy off manga but still good enuf)optional step 3:color it off using any skills like cell-shading,3d coloring,simple color filter,or anything using your own creativity and graphic skill.Optional step 4:add background and effects to make your artwork much more pleasing and proffessional(...Well depends on your skill)
