Black Zetsu was created by the Will of Madara, so I believe Madara had intended for Black Zetsu to force Obito to bring Him back if Nagato failed to do so.

Its clear that Black Zetsu was meant to force whoever had the Rinnegan at the time to revive Madara. What doesn't make sense is that he was obviously planning to live as long as possible before Obito came along, perhaps long enough to have Black Zetsu force Nagato to use the Jutsu and restore his youth (if that is possible). However, once Obito came into the picture and Madara prepped him to take over, he decides to let himself die. But considering the limitations to the jutsu, letting himself die seriously complicated his revival and perhaps made it impossible.

As of now, there is little evidence that Rinne tensei has the capability to bring a long dead person back to their prime, not even accounting for the possibility that Madara's body might be a pile of dust. It simply seems he should have continued to live as long as possible, rather than letting Obito take over for him.

genius guys? I don´t know for how long have some been reading the manga, but I just think it´s ridiculous. Something skips. Edo Madara young´s just fine and ok, but this shit of applying rine tensei and acquiring a prime body does not match up.
It´s going to be really fun, hearing out the pile of shit regarding Madara´s sudden "character restart" pulled by Kishimoto.

Thumbs down on this one for Kishi, hail Naruto.

You´ve read my sig so, he´s done it, a final villain remains... woohooo!!!!!!

Madara's body would have been destroyed by time. We can assume safely that Rinne Tensei is capable of creating a body. In Madara's case, probably him in his prime.

Madara could of known that orochimaru was developing the living corpse reincarnation and just had been hoping that he figured it out by the time he was revived

perhaps when using rine tensei on multiple targets at once there is a limitation to the condition of the revived, that they can only be revived to the point where they died and that they died not long befor the jutsu is preformed
but possibly if rine tensei is used on a single person the jutsu has more potency and is capable of returning the body to a younger form and the target can be dead for quite some time already.

Additionally, there was no way for Black Zetsu to overcome the Rinnegan bearer unless they were in an extremely weakened state, so Madara's chances of being revived in any state were slim.

Manipulation through subtle mind control makes the most sense to me.

For those who still say he could be revived old and still cast his genjutsu, or those who say he could somehow be brought back young, you still need to consider two things.

1. As stated by and earlier post, Madara's body is likely a pile of dust by now, or very decayed at a minimum, unless it was methodically preserved. Therefore, unless the Jutsu could recreate his body, it would be worthless. In addition, recreating a body, in my opinion, is not within the realm of possibility because the user would have no target to focus the Jutsu on in the first place.

2. Even if the best case scenario happened, that being Madara has his old body brought back to life and his full youth restored, that does not explain how he would get his Rinnegan back. Yes its possible that Rinne Tensei could bring him back young, though unlikely, a Rinnegan still cannot create another Rinnegan on command. It can only mimic the power through control of a body, not create a new set. So how does Madara get his Rinnegan back unless he steals it from Nagato/ Obito later? Not like defeating a Rinnegan user with a single sharingan is even remotely possible.

As for the Orochimaru idea, Madara was in his cave fore essentially the entirety of Oro's life, therefore it would be very unlikely that he was relying on him in the slightest.

Madara never thought a war would start between Obito and the SA. His original plan was to force Nagato through Black Zetsu and bring him back alive. It didn't matter if he was old, because he had no one to fight to. Him and Obito would then go ahead with the Tsuki no Me without people realizing that Tsuki No Me would be casted. But, Obito betrayed him, told the SA about his plan, the Ten Tails and SO6P and started a war.

I think also that Black Zetsu was not realy part of the main plan, I think he was more like a contingency plan.
the main plan was probably that obito would manipulate nagato into reviving madara. as I stated above in my other post, I presume that if there is only a single target of the jutsu that the potential of it is far greater and madara could be revived in a reasonable state. after this revival obito could claim the rinnegan and the two would form an unbeatable team, in case not all biju were captured.
black zetsu was madara's contingency in case obito would betray him, or be on the verge of defeat. since zetsu was the only one who knew who obito was they would always stick close together so black zetsu could interveane incase it was nececairy. and black zetsu can act as soon as obito has the rinnegan and is weak enough.
so the only way madara's plan for revival would fail was if nagato was beaten, obito got the rinnegan and betraid him befor being beaten. but madara's talk no jutsu about the moon eye plan and his "promice" to reunite him with rin in the dream world should prevent that. proof of this very last thing is that obito only decided to betray madara after recognising the he would not be worthy to meet rin again.

After seeing the method Madara used to revive himself, the fact that he let himself die after prepping Obito to take his place seems very strange. He clearly did not intend to use Edo Tensei to complete his plan, which was the key to how he was revived, so his original plan makes little sense now.

Facts:

1. Before Obito came into the picture, Madara was living off the Mazo. This means he was trying to survive as long as possible.

2. Madara never accounted for using Edo Tensei in his plan. He was fully confident he could complete his plan without making use of the tech.

3. Zetsu stated (*********** translation) that controlling Obito like he did to revive Madara was his one and only purpose.

Its obvious now that Madara planned for Black Zetsu to eventually force Nagato, like he did with Obito, into restoring him. However, we have to conclude that this would only bring him back to life, not restore his youth. The only reason Madara was restored young is because he had his young edo body. So how did Madara plan to be restored to this state without using edo tensei? Not only that, but he let himself die old so if Nagato's form of the jutsu was used on him, it would bring him back old. So how did Madara plan to bypass the youthful aspect of his revival without utilizing a modified edo body as a catalyst?

My point about him letting himself die old is that if he planned to live until he forced Nagato to revive/ restore him, why did he change his mind once he prepped Obito to take his place? Clearly letting himself die complicated his plans.
Do you remember Nagato vs Bee? Nagato used one of the Rinnegan paths to absorb Killer Bee's chakra and got his youth restored (hair went red again and the likes).
I guess that is how Madara planned to restore youth, by using one of the Rinnegan paths.

But if his original plan was to have Black Zetsu force Nagato to revive him, how would he reclaim his Rinnegan from him? Nagato would not simply give it up, if he was forced into the resurrection, and there is no way an old Madara could take it from him with only 1 Sharingan. Obito is still alive after reviving him, so Madara would have to fight to get his Rinnegan back.As I stated above, if Madara did not take the Rinnegan back, the only other option is for his Rinnegans to be re-created, and we can't expect Rinne Tensei to do that too.

I think also that Black Zetsu was not realy part of the main plan, I think he was more like a contingency plan.

I suppose if the user died with 100% certainty after using the Jutsu, Madara could simply take the Rinnegan back from the original body.... but Obito has yet to die even though he was severely weakened before hand. Not to mention, once Madara re-transplanted his Rinnegan, he would not longer be capable of MS techniques, only Rinnegan techniques, considering it is now considered a transplant.

As for the revival, at this point Madara's body may no longer be viable for resurrection, due to decay, and thus how would a Rinnegan user recreate a body if they have no target to focus on?

Obito betrayed Madara long before this last chapter. It was only in this last chapter that he gave up on his personal ideals. Before this chapter, Obito no longer showed any signs of being loyal to Madara. As soon as he took the Juubi for himself, it was clear that he decided to betray Madara and make his plan his own.

Do you remember Nagato vs Bee? Nagato used one of the Rinnegan paths to absorb Killer Bee's chakra and got his youth restored (hair went red again and the likes).

This was posted already. I agreed that this seemed like the best possible way for Madara to restore his youth, but I also stated that this didn't necessarily restore any youth, just replenish his stamina.

Keep in mind that Nagato was malnourished and weakened due to the way he was controlling his paths. He sacrificed his body because he could not longer physically walk himself. Because of this, Nagato was not at 100%. The way I saw it, he was replenishing his stamina to 100% of its capability at his current age. I don't think he was actually becoming more youthful, just restoring his 100% potential at his age.

Perhaps he simply wanted his soul placed in zetsu or some makeshift body then recreate his body in the genjutsu or with izanagi/creation of all things.
