Lol Well, I hope people like it. I know its a different direction that won't please everyone because some techniques became character bound when they weren't. But I feel this is more fair to the cannon chacaters. And, taking into account that we have such a long list now for all elements, we don't need to have all the techniques available for every bio.

Next update is the hardest one.

Except it's some real shit when you're trying to do some character-based role-play, but I guess it's logical to let all the nice, canon-restricted techniques go stale and unused and just stick to custom characters that you can actually RP with.

Okay, the amounts of trolling and spamming and flaming in this thread is entirely too high. When I made it, I half anticipated this, I admit. But I expected it to be minimalistic at most, obviously I was wrong. I should clarify now: Taking shots like you have been doing isn't allowed and while I have half a mind to either delete the thread completely or infract the members, I decided not to do either as the first would just be caling this a failure from the start and the second would result in numerous members being banned and for quite some time at that. Instead, i realized that I should have made this thread with some rules listed in the first thread:

✦ Flaming, "taking shots" and member bashing are not allowed and infractable offenses. If continued member abuse happens, then this thread wil be deleted and those offenders infracted.

✦ Off topic posts unrelated to RP are not allowed. One word replies or Emoticon or Picture replies: as in "", "Hi", "Spam", "", a meme picture. Only exception is answering a question with "yes" or "no", but still, if you think you know the answer you should also know how to explain it too.

✦ Replying to a post by posting only a picture or Video that you consider funny is disrespectful, annoying and considered spam. Multi-posting: Posting one post after another in any thread is not allowed. This means making a new post directly below another post of yours (double/triple/multi-posting) will be considered spamming and will be thus treated.

✦ If you have a problem with a fellow member you should solve it by using an instant messenger or, if that is not possible, through visitor and private messages. There is no reason for all members to take part in your problems. Anything that contains explicit adult material or illegal activities is strictly prohibited; remember this is a family forum and not a place for such actions. Linking to websites with such content is also not allowed. Posting such material are grounds for a temporary to permanent ban, subject to the severity of the offense and discretion of the moderators.

✦ While questions can be asked here, they should be both respectable as well legitimate questions. Do not ask pointless questions that are blatantly questions with the aim of trolling. It should also be noted that most RP questions should primarily be asked in

Now that I have posted some general rules for the thread, I'l open it again. Keep it clean and friendly. Nothing wrong with light jabbing in order to promote friendly rivalries but don't mistake that for a grounds to bash members. I'm no fool, and don't like to be played as if I am one. Continued rule breaking will render this thread closed, deleted, and every post infractable from here out, infracted. I'l update my first post here with this post and hopefully the problems cease to happen. >_>​

You can only master an element when you learn every single technique that is available to all bios to use of that element.

Example: you finish wind without the wind rasengans because you haven't done Ninjutsu. You haven't mastered Wind. You have wind training up to S-Rank.

Now, once you mastered an element (filling the above premise) you don't need to train in any new technique released after that point for that element.

So does that mean I haven't mastered fire because I haven't learned these jutsu?

It just doesn't seem all that realistic that Tobirama Senju should transform himself into a beautiful teenager and act the part. I'm not all that big on staying completely true to a character; but there's a limit to how much OOC behavior you can reasonably justify.

Sometimes you just gotta deal with what you got. Ive learned that nb is actually too big and has too much history for wholesale changes to the rp. IMO most of the reason big changes dont happen is because itd upset too many old members. I mean I personally dont care what they think but thats just me, and this is all just a theory

Most of them lol. I also think thats the same reason alot of clearly too op for the current rp customs that dont follow the current restrictions arent revoked or whatever. I hated it when my stuff on opb got revoked because they didnt follow the new restrictions but at the same time i loved it because they werent going down the same road. But anyway Ive kinda just given up on big changes on here, its just the rp world we live in.

Tsunade from Kiri: We're at war with Konoha? I totally think that's great and have no reservations about that whatsoever. My canon personality has also been totally suppressed and changed because my canon self would never slay Ninjas from Konoha. This is the best role-play ever!

Gaara from Kumo: I love to use Sand, but the only bio one can use Sand with is, well, me! So I, too, have completely suppressed my canon personality and forgotten about my history. I'd never react to meeting characters I should have knowledge of canonically and I'd have no reservations whatsoever about fighting a Naruto biography or burning Sunagakure down to the ground. This is the best role-play ever.

Madara from Konoha: I'm forced to use the Henge no Jutsu to transform myself into a stuffed bear, since making such a bio with my canon abilities and restrictions is not allowed, but being forced to transform and act as out-of-character as humanly possible is totally great according to the rules of this site. This is the best role-play ever!

That Sacarsim Tho..I get what you are trying to say and how your trying to point out/ criticize the rp system on its decisions but if we start that it wont end anytime soon as theres a long list of its failures and what not.However, i simple dont see why gaara should be having such said "skin" him using the basic 5 along with other canon characters who havent been show the ability to use it is already a plus so no need pushing it. You trying to keep thier abilites but change thier personality or skin doesnt seem plausible nor logical in my opinion if you simply dont want identical bios with colliding histories or bios with certain personalities or attitude you dont like then simply dont use them, i actually think you rping as your character is what makes the rp fun and u trying to be as he/she was in the anime is whats truly rping.

Never mind how it is supposedly fun to RP with a canon bio, but I personally think that RPing with a custom bio to RP the way that you want is more fun, it portrays sort of yourself in your own character with your own abilities that you should more than likely be happy with, people say that a canon battle is much better than a customs battle, but for me a customs battle is far more fun, since you would be RPing with your own created customs or perhaps someone elses that you truly liked, its much better that way and far more fun, I have a Darui bio but I really like to RP with him the way that I should and the way that he is in the Anime, but I don't really care what others think, I make it fun for myself so therefore I just RP with Darui the way that I would with a custom bio of my choosing.

If crystal is being squandered by being tied to guren, then so is gaara and any other character tied to a certain element correct? Yet we have shizz loads of bios such as these becuase i strongly believe that if you truly like an ability and it fits ur fighting style then it being tied to a certain character shouldnt matter that much. If i hated using guren i would have dropped her long ago but i dont and eventually you might even come to like such characters.
