Well technically obito beat him at his own game, except sasuke ruined it because he brought hashirama to the field which gave madara a final trump card.

We're not even sure if Madz' trump card will succeed, it's a general rule of Shonen that a trump card revealed prior to its execution always fails. And it would be too redundant if Madz steals Hashi's power a 2nd time since he already did back at VotE

Obito did manage to become Jinchuriki in the end because of Madaras own edo-tensei handicap. Madara was also dum enough to wait until his rival arrived because he had to see dear ol Hashirama

yes which leaves me to believe the the juubi will be the final villain. Madara becoming the juubi's jin would be too redundant. He wont be powerful enough to face rikudo naruto which leaves the juubi.

I don't know what madara was thinking the whole time because his trump card was controlling obito and that did not work. Since hashirama magically showed up, He has another trump card.

Dat Kishi. Always giving Uchihas ass pulls lel. I don't know about you but I'm looking forward to seeing a Sage mode edo Madara. If Madara going to use this "trump card" I think now would be the best time. Kishi has dragged it on long enough.

I agree, It's kinda obvious that madara will get the last laugh since Obito is in the process of TNJ.
But yea, Let's see what madara is going to do.
hopefully kishi is aware of this. Plot is on madara's side but still.
