"Oooo... Kay. I guess I should start then... You better get comfy, this is going to take a while."
This is going to be brutal...
I start doing sit ups... It may not be tiring yet, but it will... It will...
The Eight Inner Gates are essentially regulators for chakra on the Chakra Network, they exist to ensure that only a certain amount of chakra is allowed to be used by a person. Exceeding these limits is dangerous and leads to the body tearing itself apart. Taijutsu is different, as it doesn't require chakra, and by utilizing high speed Taijutsu, you can surpass the limits the human body has allowing you access to stronger techniques, at great cost to your own body, the ultimate price being death.
"Aaaaand 500, 500 more and I get to do 500 push ups... Yay..."

The 8 Inner Gates have names responding to their respective effects. These Gates are,
The Gate of Opening.
The Gate of Rest.
The Gate of Life.
The Gate of Pain.
The Gate of Closing.
The Gate of Joy.
The Gate of Shock.
The Gate of Death.
The process of opening these Gates requires nothing less than sheer determination and guts. When opened the user undergoes several rapid and unique changes, namely the skin goes dark red, as the blood in their system is being pumped through the body at such a level that it presses against the surface of the skin, the users eyes go white and the veins around the users temples become visible and the user also emits a deep green aura, this has been mistaken for chakra in the past, but is simply sweat evaporating as it leaves the body as the users body temperature is unbearably hot.
"Aaand 1000... Well... That's all I know about the Eight Inner Gates... You think and tell me if I have missed something and I'll do those 500 push ups. Okay?"
