knowing Itachi is an Uchiha, the Sannin are not too dumb to look directly in his eyes,
and Tsukuyomi needs enormous amount of chakra and causes Itachi's eye to bleed making its vision blurred. though Itachi undoubtedly possesses a variety of powerful techniques, his stamina and chakra reserves are not enough to use those techniques simultaneously at a very long period of time

Are you kidding me... They were not talking about the nine tails. If you put the nine tails in that context, that part of the conversation would make no sense. Kurama was inside naruto at the time and given naruto's strength at the time, all they'd have to do to capture him (assuming there is no further intervention) is put him in a genjutsu or just physically knock him out. Then take him to the akatsuki lair and bam, extract the nine tails out of him.

Jiraiya was getting shat on by only animal path, then got his shit wrecked by preta, animal and human path evidently having to retreat to for 10 minutes just to use frog song. Clearly Kisame and Itachi would've destroyed him.

Yet he was able to defeat those three path's with no previous intel/prep by stalling for time AND one of them, he was able to defeat twice (animal path). He was doing pretty good against them in that battle even though he had no intel or prep time.

Itachi and kisame wouldn't have performed any better against pain than jiraiya had, even with intel, while pain stated that if jiraiya DID have intel, he would have won the battle. The feats that jiraiya showed in that battle back's up itachi and kisame's statement of being inferior to jiraiya.

If they have 0 intel and are 20 metres away, they are undoubtedly already under Itachi's regular genjutsu,.

They are either completely paralyzed like Orochimaru was (a Sannin who also had a 5 for genjutsu in databook) or completely unaware they're in a genjutsu.
Why would Itachi allow them to realise their in a genjutsu, when he has backup who can curbstomp them while under its effect? And even if thy do realise they seriously aren't getting out of it.

During this time Kisame literally rips them to shreds with Samehada...

SM, Byakugou,Katsuya and Gamabunta are complete non factors, as this is literally over before it starts.


And if you seriously believe what Itachi said back in part 1, you should realise feats>hype.

Katsuyu is invulnerable to physical attacks,
but yes, Gamabunta can be easily ignited by amaterasu
genjutsu can be dispelled by any one of them

Where'd you been, man? The only reason why Itachi said that was because he wanted to avoid fighting Jiraiya in front of Kisame. As we ALL know by now, Itachi was spying on konoha's behalf, and he didn't want to kill Jman, or any leaf shinobi for that matter. Same reason why he took on the three jonins and had Kisame stand back. He saved their asses coz he knows Kisame'll rip them to shreds. It was all for show.

But you know that was part 1. After part 1 people eyes upgraded = Sasuke, Kakashi , and people skills grew during the year skip. Just saying..

Itachi and Kisame still wins, but it be down to the nitty gritty.

Itachi would black flame a summon, but Jman got the sealing scroll.

Itachi would go Sasnaoo and Jman 3 summons to fight it. But in the end the sword might suck the summons into it and after that the battle goes down hill.

and he'll die if he gets close to Tsunade
