✖ People who received a custom CM from a tournament or whatever have to make a thread in the NB Hospital section and be 'bitten' by Vincent. You need to state on which bio you want to have the CM and in that bio you need to post the link to the hospital thread when you post the bio. For now, when you are getting the CM, you also need to link Vincent to the thread where it's confirmed you won the CM. In most cases however Vincent will probably not be able to see them, so I will have to do it for him. In the future it should become more easier.
New rules have been added for the ability known as "senjutsu". This includes all its variants, namely Sage Mode (all 3 version seen so far), Cursed Marks and Jugo's abilities.
It was a severe revamp i've been doing the past few days. Those who have Jugo bios can also find a new set of techniques in the Special Techniques section of the jutsu list. (i'll remove the old versions from the ninjutsu list later today). Those who have Custom Snake/Orochimaru bios can now apply (if they fit the requirements) to Snake Sage Mode testing. I also added different versions of sage mode for each use it has: Custom Toad Bios/Naruto, Jiraya, Orochimaru, Kabuto, Custom Snake Bios and Hashirama Senju. Cursed Mark took a severe revamp both in abilities and in techniques. Restrictions were also heavily updated.
I think I didn't miss anything and the final edits to the jutsu list will be done later today as I have to get some RL work done right now Lol!
Oh, Hashirama bios are still on hold. I simply had that already made and as such launched it. Rules for it will be added later on. Also, Jugo's clan is still unknown so for now, only Jugo bios can be made. If the clan becomes more known and is named in the manga, we will add it following the same basic rules of Jugo.
First step of the massive update is underway. Most of you don't know but I'll be revamping and reorganizing the cannon Jutsu List. Things that will be done:
-Separate character bound and/or special techniques from normal techniques all bios can use.
-Correcting various minor errors in damage points, chakra, range, descriptions, names, etc.
-Removing useless, outdated or duplicated techniques.
For now, the first step was the Taijutsu list and its structural organization. EIG, Chakra Enhanced Strength and Other Taijutsu have been added to the list. The Other Taijutsu will suffer a minor revamp still, as the post itself will be organized. Also, i know some of the techniques i just moved aren't 100% right but i didn't edit them. Will do it afterwards. Now was just structure.
I need to warn members that A-Rank and S-Rank Taijutsu are now empty but I'll be working on making a few techniques for those ranks and perhaps even structuring some techniques into other ranks as well. So its a case of time.
I also added an Ink Ninjutsu list to the special techniques, removing them from the clustered Ninjutsu list. Will do the same for Smoke and other techniques during the near future.
Notify me if i missed a technique or something but regarding damage points and such mistakes, don't as I know I have to correct them.
We've been working on it for quite some while. Around 90% of everything related to our RP system is explained in this one thread. Of course it was impossible to explain all of that in just a few sentences, so it was inevitable that the posts might appear very long. However the first post can provide very fast a first, overall impression of what RP now is on NB. All the other posts are dedicated to explain the fundamental aspects of the system. To make things easier each post has an index at the top where you can say what and where something is explained in the post, so you can easily search for whatever you want to know.
This guide is first and foremost meant for new RPers, however even experienced RPers might find this very useful ^^
Genjutsu rules were compiled and revamped into one single thread which details all the aspects of Genjutsu and how to release or use it, restrictions, etc. You can find it here:

If you have doubts on what techniques actually are a chakra surge or not, please contact a sensei.
PS- its possible that the thread is moved to another place but for now it will be in the bio rules subforum.
Updated with a small, updated explanation for both. Nothing really changed in the rules from what was already being done for both abilities. You can, as always, find them in the Bio Rule sub forum.
These KG Rules were updated and you can find the new ones here in the bio rules section

.
Also, because both KGs had only one technique which didn't allow users to make full use of them without relying on customs, I decided to make some techniques and add them to the jutsu list of each element which can be ofund here.

Now, one thing to note is that these techniques were made for the RP, they don't exist in the cannon universe so you can't find usage examples, images or other things to help you figure them out. Most are pretty simple and straightfoward but if you guys have any quesiton about them, talk to a sensei to explain them.
Also, I'd like to thank Lili-chwan who helped out with the steel release techniques, Madara Uchiha and Wesobi who are helping out with some upcoming updates to other techniques, including new ones we are making and Mathias who has been helping out reorganizing the Ninjutsu list.
New rules are coming next as well but I can't reveal much! Just sit tight and dwell in the expectation!
Mei Terumi
Namikaze Minato
Dust Release was separated into Muu and Onoki rules

I also added new techniques to the AACT Thread, not many, but a few. The most noteworthy ones were a few Dark Release (Meiton) techniques I created to make Dark Release users have more techniques to use, something I've done a few days back for Steel and Swift and will be doing in the upcoming future to other KG/Special fields.

Also, in that thread you'll notice that I also added some techniques called (Chiratsuki Kaihi/Undō) Flicker Evasion/Movement and (Chiratsuki Kaihi) Flicker Evasion. Now, this is a leap of faith into the RP which I hope is not misguided. If these are abused, they'll be removed immediately so their use and presence in the RP is solely in your hands. The reasoning was that having speed in our RP didn't allow you to defend from smaller techniques or localized ones or move around in the field using that speed to your advantage. Each version is different according to the bio that can use it and its base speed. Minato's version is classified as Ninjutsu and is nothing more than a simpler version of the Body Flicker technique. Since Minato in the series has the ability to use the Body Flicker technique in battle (which is mainly why he is deemed fast in some situations) but that technique is banned in our RP from being used in battle, I decided to make a technique that would enable him to use that same "move" but in decent way. However, note that Minato's base speed isn't altered. He cannot move faster, without the use of this technique, than any other bio of the same rank. Raikage's, EIG's and Jinchurikii's versions were also added and are classified as Taijutsu.
Also, the Space Time techniques were moved to a given post in the special techniques section. Fuuinjutsu and Kinjutsu techniques were separated. Inside each of them, Medical versions were separated to make it easier to find and access. Regarding Fuuinjutsu, I need to add a clarification. Sakura and Tsunade bios can use their Medical Kinjutsu (Creation Rebirth and Strength of a Hundred) without having to have permission from the RP Admin. There is a note in the Kinjutsu rules that explains just that. Same for their White Strength Seal. Since these techniques are bio bound, as long as the bio requirements are fit, the user can use the techniques. In case you have a doubt or question, please contact an RP Moderator.
Some of the rules still lack some coloring of some parts and perhaps even some minor formatting tweaks but that will have to wait for another time since it has been a long night for me.
Small announcement that there is a new thread for where you can apply for the Rain Test. It's a revamp of the old thread, made my The Pervy Sage and no longer involves Sage Mode, which you can apply for in the normal test application thread.
Link to thread:
You must be registered for see links
There's been a new addition to the thread, where you can apply to be a proctor for Rain Testing. If applicable, you will be allowed to take on Rain Tests of various members who apply to take the test, should you fit the requirements. It's more or less there for keeping a track of who takes on the testing currently, and that's it.
If you already applied for testing, please re-apply in the new thread.
A few clarifications regarding the usage of some techniques were needed:
Earth Release Weight manipulation techniques:
-They cannot petrify water or anything other than earthen materials such as mud and Wood techniques (wuch as Zetsu clones for example). In all other cases, only weight is added.
-I added a small note to how much weight can be increased or decreased and revamped the descriptions a bit.
(Doton: Kajūgan no Jutsu): Earth Style: Added Weight Rock Technique
Rank: A
Type: Offensive/Defensive
Range: short
Chakra cost: 30
Damage points: N/A (up to +20 if used to add damage)
Description: The user will perform the Snake handseal and touch a given target (he needs to use his hands in most cases but can release the technique through his whole body if needed) for a small time frame. Upon doing so, he'll use the earth chakra to increase the weight of the target drastically. The technique can increase the targets weight up to 10 times. One interesting side effect of the technique is that when its used on wood based techniques (such as Zetsu's spore clones or normal wood), the infusion of large amounts of earth chakra into it will actually petrify the target in addition to increasing its weight. A similar effect can be achieved in other earthen materials such as mud. The user can also add weight to a given attack (if feasible) to increase both momentum and impact force, effectively adding damage to it.
Note: The weight change lasts 2 turns or until countered.
(Doton: Keijūgan no Jutsu) - Earth Release: Light Weight Rock Technique
Rank: A
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 30
Damage points: N/A (up to -20 if used to boost speed of a physical attack)
Description: Contrary to its counterpart (the Earth Release: Added-Weight Rock Technique), instead of making the target heavier, this technique makes it much lighter, though still using the same principle and mechanics. The user will make direct contact with the given target (through his hands), infusing them with earth chakra and lowering their weight drastically. The technique can lower a targets weight up to 10 times less than it originally had. This allows freer manipulation of the affected objects, which would normally carry considerably more weight and as such, require a greater amount of exertion to move. The technique can be used on the user or other shinobi to increase their speed, but as a consequence of using it this way, it results in the decrease of the physical force of their blows. The same principle applies if used on a physical attack wich will be faster but will carry less momentum and as such, less physical damage. It doesn't change the "strength" of binding techniques (like Sand Release), where the user is manipulating a dynamic element but will decrease the impact damage of techniques that rely on it.
Note: The initial effects last for 2 turns or until countered.
(Doton: Chōkeijūgan no Jutsu) - Earth Release: Earth Release: Ultra Light-Weight Rock Technique
Rank: S
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 40
Damage poitns: N/A (up to -40 if used to boost speed of a physical attack)
Description: A more advanced version of the Earth Release: Light-Weight Rock Technique, in which the user drastically decreases the weight of any object in direct physical contact, but to a much greater extent than that of the original ability. The technique can decrease the weight of the target to virtually zero but the bigger the target, the more time is needed.
Note: The weight change lasts 2 turns or until countered.
(Doton: Chō Kajūgan no Jutsu) - Earth Release: Super Added Weight Rock Technique
Rank: S
Type: Offensive
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 40
Damage points: N/A (up to +40 if used to add damage)
Description: A more advanced version of the Earth Release: Added Weight Rock Technique, in which the user drastically increases the weight of any object in direct physical contact, but to a much greater extent than that of the original ability. This technique can increase the weight of a target up to 100 times. Under certain circumstances, the technique can be used to increase the force behind attacks.
Note: The weight change lasts 2 turns or until countered.
Regarding the Hardening technique, I updated the description and detailed it a bit more. Yes, its a chakra surge if used like that.
(Doton: Koka no Jutsu) - Earth Release: Hardening Technique
Rank: S
Type: Offense/Defence/Supplementary
Range: Short
Chakra Cost: 40 (-15 per turn)
Damage Points: N/A
Description: The user releases a burst of earth chakra from all over his body. As he does this, a multitude of rock seemingly grows from his skin, forming a large, dense armour or rock much bigger and bulkier than the users original size. The armour can be manipulated and used to create extendable weapons to strike a target with like rudimentary swords or hammers. The downside is that the user cannot mold techniques from other elements a part from earth while sustaining the armor. The armor can be manifested in only specific parts of the body if the user so chooses.
Nagashi: there is a confusion about what nagashi can or can't do. Nagashi is unfocused lightning that spreads throughout the user. It can numb and paralyze opponents. Though, it can be used in different ways. If you channel it through B-Rank earth, wood, etc up to S-Rank (of anything weak to lightning) it willspread through it and neutralize the technique but won't destroy it. Nagashi only has detructive properties if a big difference in ranks exist (C-Rank or lower). It has not tangible properties. If used from the body as a omnidirectional "spread", it will only reach up to Short Range of the user. If used through the ground and targetting a piece of metal or other conductors stuck on the ground (like a kunai near your enemy or similar), it can reach mid range but in this case will not have any omnidirectional abilities.
Chidori Variations: Ok, none requires you to use chidori before and they only require handseals if they were seen in the manga or anime to require them. Normally, And I checked, all of the techniques that fit under "chidori variations" have an acurrate description of what they need and if they don't say they need handseals, they don't.
Substitution technique: any technique that has this name fall under this category and will suffer from its restrictions. Not only thayt but don't forget that its not what everyone claims it to be. The standard sub we all seen beeing used by ninjas from the first episodes onwards, is a combination of 2 skills/techniques: body flicker and transformation technique. You use a body flicker-like movement to change places with an object you transform into a replica of yourself. You can seemingly move instantly to a different place withle your opponent believes he hit you. Now, this requires you to A) have a nearby object at hand, B) perceive the attack (you need to know its coming as it needs your consicious input and your focus and will to work; its not automated) and C) be in a situation where its possible to move. If you are inside a water prison you cannot use it.
Wood doesn't have, for now, any chakra absorption abilities unless the technique in question clearly states it.
Also, regarding tons of pms and vms about this: Minato, Hashirama, Tobirama, etc I don't know what will be added or removed from them or with them or wtv.- I'm building them as the manga shows their skill so don't ask me about it because I don't know what will be done in most cases and if I do I won't share it until the rules are released or updated. Also, please refrain from trying to "convince" me to add this or that ability to a cannon bio rule. Its annoying. Ask me about what is in play and is used right now at the RP bio Rules but don't ask me about what is to come in the future or about edits based on what the manga showed or shows.
I'll try to, from time to time, address such issues pertaining usage of cannon techniques and abilities. If you have issues with techniques, contact a sensei and he'll bring the matter up in the sensei section which will be discussed and reasoned.
-Senju Hashirama (which can now be made as a bio as it was taken off the "on hold" list)
-Enton or Blaze Release
Updated rules:
-Deidara (also made a new version of the Exploding Clay technique which was a bit old)
Now, you'll notice that most bio rules I've launched recently have stated an elemental specialty in most cases. This specialty is something you can't remove your bio as its part of its abilities in our RP. It also doesn't mean it can be stacked with other specialties. If a cannon bio has a rule stating it has Fire Release with one hanseal, that means its the only element it can use with one handseal and you cannot decide on another or add others on top of that. Its something that I'm trying to introduce into all bios who havce elemental KGs or been seen to specialize in one element or another.
As always all rules can be found in the Biography rules sub forum of this section. More to come soon
I'll be closing the CJ, CFS and CEJ threads tomorrow to be checked during the next week. If you have any edits or anything you still want to submit, do so during the next 24hours. The threads will be opened once fully checked which hopefully won't take more than a week if all goes according to plan.
The Fire section of the jutsu list was highly updated. Revamped descriptions, ranges, added hand seals, edited technique names, etc etc. Any question, resort to the sensei squad.
I'm currently in the process of updating the Jutsu list and many techniques have been updated today and more will be updated in the coming days as well as many new ones will be posted, moved, reorganized, etc.
Because of the time it takes to do these updates and these edits (I need to search for manga chapters, watch episodes, movies and even search for games, datebooks, etc and then edit the techniques to fit this information and the RP's unique usage of them) I cannot do them all in one single day. As such, I've been working on it this last week but mainly today and will continue to do so during next week.
When I finish it all, I'll post all the edits I made as well as all the explanations needed and what was introduced a new. But I'll do so in one go, when all is finished so its normal if until then you find things that were edited with no notice or warning.
Also, there will be one day when the Ninjutsu list may be unavailable to you for a few hours due to the amount of edits I need to do. If you cannot access it in a given day for some reason don't fret, don't panic, its just me editing and working on stuff which will be temporary.
Note: I'll only do CJ checking after I finish this so please don't contact me to check your cjs if they were left for me or about CFS or CEJs. I know I have to check them and I will do when I finish this task so be patient please.
I've been doing, as I had already notified, a plentitude of edits in techniques. I wanted to post only when I finished but the update is so big that it will take more time than I expected which will produce some minor problems if the updates go unnoticed or unannounced. The edits were done after rewatching the whole anime (thats a bunch of hours of my life I will never get back >_>), the movies (dear lord... or should I say, dear Kishi...what have you done?), the manga and some game videos and were all aimed at making the techniques either more cannon-like, more balanced or simply more easily understood. I also opted to tie some of them with our RP system, adding small notes on how to use them or what are their limits, etc. Some techniques which I felt were very unique became bio-bound to who used it (for example, all Water Release techniques pertaining to the "shark theme" are now Kisame bound, although in the future they may become "Shark Contract Bound"). Other edits include name editting, chakra and damage info corrections, range edits, template fixing, etc. I tried to keep tabs of all the techniques I editted but I might have missed a few, though not many. These edits have been done over the last 5 days or so. More edits will come as I'm not finished and some have already been done but aren't still posted here because they might still be changed. Any questions, don't hesitate to ask the sensei team.

In this section you'll find all the cannon weapons shown so far to possess some kind of special ability like all the 7 Swordsmen of the Mist Swords or Tobirama's Lightning Sword. In that section you also have all the techniques those weapons can use and are unique to them with the exception of these:
Which are bound to the (Kiba) Fangs set of Twin Swords but since they are lightning release I found it would be best to keep them in the Lightning List. I also finished revamping the Lightning list and did the D and C ranks of the Wind List, adding the techniques I edited to the post above.
PS- I know that some techniques from the swords are repeated in the Ninjutsu list for example but since I'm going to be updating that one in the next few days I'll remove them then. The updated techniques are the ones in the list I link to in this post.
