If you've been keeping up with the latest headlines, you'd see that almost every news story is focused around Syria. If we attack Syria, war will be started. Do you think the Parliament will decide to attack Syria for using chemical weaponry to kill countless people? Discuss!

Wait, I don't even have a clue why you'd have a war with them. So can someone explain it to me.

I believe we should work to evacuate the innocents, but allow the country to do it's own thing preferably. Or leave everyone there and let them fight their own battle.

Probably not.

Syria is pretty insignificant when it comes to global politics. If any major global power chose to fight Syria, it would just turn into another Afghanistan or Iraq. The invading force would have to occupy Syria for an extended period of time, and they would likely not gain anything from it. The likely course of action is that Russia and the United States will supply the government and rebels, respectively, with weapons and ammunition. On the other hand, Russia may just cut its losses and try to distance itself from Syria, too. The UN/NATO may even help the rebel forces by conducting air strikes on key military/strategic targets. However, nobody really has anything to gain from directly engaging a nation like Syria in a prolonged war.

True, although Russia doesn't want to lose its naval base/port in Syria since it gives them a strategic presence in the Mediterranean.

What, just 'cause the US want more oil? :|

Syria doesn't have any worthwhile commodities to take - not enough to make it worth it anyway. If anything happened it would be simply in response to the chemical weapons use.

Very nice answer.

America is bad, and they want oil. Bashar El Asad shoud remain as a Leader, he's good. I wish those f**kers are not gonna participate. They destroy everything. Like the bombarding of Serbia 1999. and now our kids wear shirts with the US flag. Talk about traitors. :|

I wish Naruto to be in USA's side

I'm sorry but I personally think that the US is identical to Edo Madara in Naruto. Edo Madara is arrogant, enigmatic and sooo ****ing powerful it's unreal. It fits the description of US perfectly. :| The US will never be like Naruto. The leaders of US are too incompetent and irrational for that. It's deeply hurtful. U_U

yes america will take syria to war but syria President Bashar al-Assad will escape to russia and then go back to syria to wage war on the usa with russia, china, and a lot of middle east countries help. according to what some say that the bible has predicted this to come. I hope they are wrong because the story goes on to say that the usa will be wipe out in a hour, the whole world will suffer without the usa. muslim and catholic comes together and make one new religion and the beginning of the end of the world will start. supposedly muslim and catholic are the two greatest evil out of all religion- in the usa over 30 thousand kids have claim to have been rape from someone in the catholic church, open up a day care and get those number and watch they lock up the person in charge. muslims give their people no choice in religion either youre a muslim or you can;t get a job or go to a good school and most people will secretly hate you for belong to another religion. Im just the messenger dont hate me

That's what I've gathered from this mess also, but who really knows? If we attack Syria, Syria vows to attack Israel and no one ****s with Israel. :|

I really like how USA, the only country that used atomic bombs in real battle and the country that used chemical weapons in Vietnam (agent orange), now wants to start a war because another country did the same thing as they did.

At least not the Arab countries, they learned that when they attacked in 1948, 1967, and 1973 :)

One could argue that they've witnessed these atrocities firsthand and have vowed to prevent their use ever again by anyone.

Although they still have a strategic nuclear weapons reserve to act as a deterrent to up-and-coming nuclear-capable nations (here's looking at you, Iran).

The FSA is a bunch of terrorists supported by Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Israel and the USA. Big parts of the FSA are not even syrian and are just plain retarded muslims who can neither read, write or think critically.

If the USA invades, Syria, Iran and maybe Russia (most likely in form of weapon shipments) will rightfully retaliate.
