True, although Russia doesn't want to lose its naval base/port in Syria since it gives them a strategic presence in the Mediterranean.



Syria doesn't have any worthwhile commodities to take - not enough to make it worth it anyway. If anything happened it would be simply in response to the chemical weapons use.

Personally, I think we shouldn't have to waste any more lives of American soldiers on people that don't want, or haven't asked us for help.

Honestly, theres no real good course of action that the US can take. We get criticized no matter what we do. If we get involved in Syria, we'll get people upset. If we continue to do nothing, people will get upset. I guess the best we can do is to try and evacuate civilians, but its not as simple as it sounds.

Well im from Israel, you guys probably dont know this but the people that get hurt in Syria are getting medically treated here in Israel, and the problem we have with this War is that Bashar al-Assad said publicly (or it was someone from their government i dont remember) that if the US attacks them they will attack us.
