So you're telling me that the main fight style Sasuke will use when he fights naruto are lighting attacks? Attacks that are outdated? The whole reason for Sasuke getting EMS is so that he can get closer to Naruto's level because at this point Naruto would rip him apart without a defense like the eternal mangekyo sharingan. Trust me Sasuke couldn't even beat kakashi with his lightning attacks which is why he went susano. Sasuke's power is in his eyes. Lighting attacks are just an outdated form of Sasuke's fighting style. He wasn't even considered a quarter of a threat to naruto until he got the eternal sharingan.
Obito's power NEVER relied in his eyes. When have you ever seen Obito use Ameterasu or Sussano? It's never happened. Obito HAS used time space jutsus. So far Obito has shown little to NO visual prowes compared to Sasuke so the power of Dojutsu and Ninjutsu(from sharingan) lies with who? Sasuke Uchiha. However Obito Uchiha with the ten tails becomes a threat.
The theme of Naruto is that love conquers hate to achieve peace. That's what it's been about so far. Sasuke doesn't give a damn about Madara. Sasuke is concerned with becoming hokage to fufil his brothers sacrifice at all COSTS. Meaning Sasuke doesn't give a damn about the village. The manga keeps indicating that Sasuke is still in a bad frame of mind and things will not roll over smoothly between Naruto and Sasuke if Sasuke keeps his frame of mind. What else could be kishi's reason for showing Sasuke in such a negative light these last few chapters? Sasuke's eyes are definetly stronger than obito's but rather they are or not doesn't dictate if that's where they're power lies. Sasuke get's his power from his sharingan. Obito's rinnegan and sharingan don't make him a threat to the people he's facing right now. The ten tails does. Trying to put Obito's eyes above the power of the 10 tails wouldn't make sense. If that's the case the toad sage probably should have been more specific and told Naruto that his opponent would have the power of the Sage of 6 paths. That would have made more sense wouldn't it have? After all that's were Obito's power is currently his greatest power. Sasuke's power lies in his eyes. That right now is his main for of defense and offense. Saying an Uchiha with eternal manegkyo sharingan's tijutsu and lightning attacks is stronger than his sharingan is insane. At the end of the day all Sasuke cares about is his own goal and he's driven by love for his brother sorrow for his clan and hatred for the leaf village. He may try to rule and protect the village in honor of his brothers sacrifice but as indicated by his behavior in the last several chapters of the manga he wont take no for an answer and will be problematic in his quest to rule Konoha. This will make for an awesome ending and all the signs point to these two fighting to the death with Naruto winning of course being the main character.
Sasuke won't use lightning against Naruto. I was saying he has powers other than his eyes, not that he'd use them against Naruto in Naruto vs. Sasuke. I don't know how you came to conclusion I was talking about Naruto vs. Sasuke. Sasuke has more non-eye powers than Obito. However, Obito single non-eye power is more powerful than Sasuke.
Obito's space time jutsu comes from his eyes. Thus, it's a subset of the power of his eyes, meaning the toad sage could have been talking about him. He completely relies on his eyes.
When did I say Obito's eyes are greater than the ten tails. I was proving he relied on his eyes, not just on his eyes. He has one non-eye power. Sasuke has more non-eye powers, though Obito's one non-eye power is more powerful than Sasuke.
Why didn't the Toad say Naruto would fight someone had the ten-tails power? Because its ****ing prophecy. Prophecies are supposed to ambiguous, not blindingly obvious like having to fight the ten-tails.
I never said Sasuke's lightning was greater than his sharingan. I have no idea where you even got that idea from. My thesis was that Sasuke relies on his eyes less than Obito.
Sasuke does care about the village. "I'm going to the battlefield… I won't let this village… and my brother… be wasted!" He put village before his brother. He cares about it. He cares about not repeating the mistakes of the past. Even if you were right that he's only doing this for Itachi, then he still cares about the village. He would care about because of Itachi.
You are correct Kishimoto portrays Sasuke as having dark motives. That doesn't mean he is irredeemably evil. It means he is going through gradual character development. he can't go from villain to hero after just some words from Itachi and Hashirama. Right now, Sasuke is an anti-hero. This does not mean he is irredeemable. It means he hasn't been completely redeemed
yet. Sasuke is being gradually redeemed because it's good character development and all fo the foreshadowing says Naruto must be the final one to redeem Sasuke. Naruto must be the one to take Sasuke from anti-hero to hero. In conclusion, just because Sasuke is not redeemed yet doesn't mean he's completely irredeemable.
Okay, Obito's eyes are less powerful than Sasuke's, I'll actually allow that since Obito forgets he has the Rinnegan. However, Obito relies on his eyes more than Sasuke. Sasuke: lightning, fire, and sword. Obito: ten tails. Obito's power relies on his eyes. Even if Obito's eyes don't make him a threat to poeple he's currently fighting, most of his power still comes from them.
Never did I say Sasuke's lightning was greater than his sharigan. How did you come to that conclusion? I used it as proof that Sasuke has more powers outside of his eyes than does Obito.
Sasuke no longer hates the leaf. He is fighting for them.
edit: other reasons why this won't happen
It's out of Naruto's character to raid corpses
It took Madara years with Senju DNA to unlock Rinnegan. Obito never did despite having Senjgu DNA.
It would take a while for Naruto to master the Rinnegan.
Sasuke is the second most important character in the entire series . He is not some cheap plot device to give Naruto a power-up.
