there was a battle... Kishi just screwed up the power levels because Madara getting fodderized by someone who can't solo a 70 years old shadow clone made no sense...
though it's also possible that you're right and we should consider the first 400 chapters invalid because Kishi got this sudden idea to make Hashirama god level...
With his long range threds that prevent her from getting anywhere near Kakuzu ....
And it did not blitz anything it caught something with beast like intelligence off guard, due to the nature of the attack .. not speed

Many people think a one hit quitter would solo Kakuzu. A one hit quitter would solo Raikage.
I mean to make all things fair. Some of the strong fighters like Tsunade, Raikage, choji, Kakuzu I thinkk it would take more than a one hitter quitter. I think they could aleast block a mild punch.
They are all pretty strong

Kakazu has Raiton and Fuuton to counter Swamp.
Toads get killed by Fuuton + Katon or Raiton.
Kakazu tanks anything Jiraiya has with Domu since Jiraiya does not have the Raiton element.

J man could use his hair to intangle with Kakuzu if he gets caught. Not saying Jman hair is as strong. But Jman in sage mode is not going to be man handle in his body form either especially by threads like other people did.
Now you say futon and katon the toads are not going to go out like that. Gam has fire bullet that equal the same thing as the fire mask

The Fuuton mask isn't doing shit to a boss summon. Not to mention Gamabunta can easily avoid it/ destroy the heart before it could react.

Based on what?
Kakuzu's Fuuton + Katon isn't stronger than Jiraiya's Katon+Oil, EVER. It has the size of thirty gamabuntas and the power to melt Manda. Kakuzu's couldn't kill Kakashi.

It was heavily foreshadowed due to the VoTE fight and scenery that Hashirama was overpowered. That didn't come out of anywhere.

It was melting Manda. Your katons are featless.
As for the hair, Jiraiya's was able to immobilise a giant crab. Everything Kakuzu has is a joke in comparison to that.
Speed is a non factor since Jiraiya can sense it with his barrier.
