I didn't say he could destroy all life and future life on the planet.
He'd just destroy it.

A meteor that size is easily capable of destroy the planet, + he is more than likely able to use bigger ones and we know he can summon more than 1.

it would take at least something bigger than Mars to destroy the earth

when the Earth was still new, it is said to have clashed with another planet which formed the moon
